Can you absolutely let go of your addiction to GOD? You condem my booze, cigarettes, drugs-and yet I see them as escapes from the way you are running the world into the ground by YOUR ADDICTION TO GOD! I can at least show you what my devices are, you can only TELL me what you have been told-I can quit mine, many have-BUT You wont quit until you die!

Why do you speak with words without knowledge? God doesn't condemn you for drinking and smoking cigarettes. He takes you for who you are, nothing more nothing less, and helps you become a better person. As you can see you said "you condemn" as in us human beings who have our own opinions of what you do and consider it bad, not God. If you read the bible you would see that drinking is not a sin because even Jesus turned water to wine and they would have it on occasion. What people fail to realize is that It is the things that you do while intoxicated from the booze ( i.e. Cursing, impure thoughts, sexual immorality) that is bad and is a sin, not the booze itself. Also there are numerous of people in the bible who had problems that others considered bad but God took there negative and made it into a positive. See while you are still depending one the booze ,cigarettes, and drugs to get away from the things of this world, some people see religion as a basis to get away on a much higher level. There's nothing wrong with believing and having faith in something much higher than the things of this world. Your mind is still set on physical objects and depend on them to see and rely on that of which you see to have faith, but at some point you will come to realize that it is the things of this world that one cannot see that matters the most. If you understand that you would see that it is very difficult to show or prove something to you when we dont look with our eyes. At some point in time though the booze and everything else is not going to work and you are going to be in search for something else. I dont condem you for anything that you do, i just see that you are stuck in a stage of your life and one day you will get past it.

Why would you need to put any effort into proving that God doesn't exist, in order to keep drinking, smoking, getting high etc.?? You've been getting high so far with God in existance, so whats the problem? I assume nobody named "God" stopped you before you got to the corner to cop, right? And, somebody else's addiction to morphine wouldn't keep you from having your addiction to coke, would it?
So why do you have a problem that people are addicted to God, and that in some way is affecting you? How about because your life is a damn mess. How about because you are full of ****, and can't "quit anytime you want".
How about the fact that something is reminding you constantly that something is missing in your life - Is God making your addiction a real pain in the butt? Are there holes in your bucket?
Do you want to stop being an idiot and patch some of them up? Then listen to what your heart is really telling you. You don't need to tell anyone else about it - tonite ask God why the hell he's pissing you off so badly, and what is it that he wants from you. Something is up, dude.
And don't think this is coming from some straight idiot who has no clue; I've come from a 20 year heroin addiction, and thats from the age of ten. God not only got me straight, but did it without my needing rehab. beat that.
Hey, do whatever you want, but you know that you have to make a choice = its either just a constant high and lots of money issues, or its everything else in life. And theres alot of cool **** to do out there. Don't miss out on it.
Oh, and yeah, you are right - I won't quit on God, not even after death; thats because he hasn't ever quit on me, not once. Its a real good friendship, and alot more reliable than a bag of dope.

The bible is full of reference about you, none of them are good!
But, from your point, consider this: Nature does not create anything that Natures does not need!
Every thing in Nature supports something else, is required! If any microbe, what ever is taken out something else dies, is effected!
What, in Nature requires the presence of humans? NOTHING! Humans neither support or have a requirement in NATURE!
Since NATURE creates nothing that NATURE does not require or need, then NATURE did not create humans! Too, having no requirement and not needed, why are we here? Why even come to this place for this instant in time and then leave? Nothing that humans do, matter to nature or is needed!
Too, where did the program come from that a seed should fall to the earth, interact with soil water and temperature, grow and develop into a plant of sorts, bloom, create more seeds and repeat the process? From where should this
programing come plus timing, precise chemical interactions, the chemicals, energy, make up of the energy?
How is it that, what we call the eye, even functions, we can talk about what it does or how it does, but how did all this come to be, why?
Where were you before you came here? We know, partially, what caused you to be here, but, where will you go when you leave here?
Do you know any reason for any of this?
You cannot explain your existance, you cannot create anything, not one of anything that humans see. Yes, we can take the material that is in existance and fashion something, but we can not start with nothing and end up with something?
Please explain where all of what we physically see and experience come from! Do not talk about BANG! That only references energy already in existance, tell/explaine thr creation of what ever that makes enegry possible, and how that what ever came into existance.
How sad you are in your ageroance! You cannot control anything, create anything, not only your self yet you would bellow about what is and what is not!
Do you know what you look like? Have you ever seen yourself or any one? Do not consider the body that you use, that is not you!
It is known that the body that you use is not you because we can cut it apart, and throw away or exchange parts and you rremain! Replace the lungs, a different heart, cut off limbs, take out the eyes, still you remain! So, the physical body cannot be you!

Reality is what you make of it, not society. Being addicted to drugs and alcohol are cop outs, you are self medicating, because you cant handle the reality of your life and the path you have chosen. I dont have an addiction to God. I have a very loving and abiding relationship with God. My husband used to be just like you, up until 8 years ago.He was a complete atheist before. God showed him the way it was going to be. And now he has a very personal relationship with God also. He has dropped his addictions completely, all with God's help.

Well, just a word of advice: you should consider quitting drugs. Drugs really aren't a positive in your life. And quit trying to justify your vices by stating that you "see them as escapes from the way believers are running the world into the ground". That's self-serving, and you know it. I'm agnostic-atheist, but I don't go around blaming all my issues on people who believe in God.

we dont quit when we die we live eternally. we are krazy for God srry. but y does it matter to you besides we dont run the world. seperation from church and state remember some states dont even allow there students to say the pledge because some find it offensive(big whoop im sorry that you find it offending that the name this country was founded under is in the pledge of allegience if u have such a big problem w/ it then dont live here). even though church is the reason we are here at all

God is just too good to me. Better than any of your devices. I am definetly an addict in this life and the one to come. Your devices wont help you after you die. THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!

I think the better question is if you can let go of your "control" issue when it comes to other people's beliefs...there is freedom OF speech in this country not freedom From Speech. We, as Christians have to put up with YOU just as much as you have to put up with us. That's what REAL tolerance is all about. One cannot tolerate what one agrees with. It takes vehement disagreement about important matters to be able to practice tolerance.
What "devices" do you have? Do you mean "vices"?
