dosn't sound right, to punish the devils wifes will attack his heal or sumthing like that, and the snake would have to slither on the ground, as punishment, then he went to eve to punish her. dosn't say anything about the snake being the devil, just shrewedest of all of Gods creations.

A human chimera is, to put it as simply as possible, the result of the fusion of two fertilized eggs into one. The resulting person would therefore, according to the Christian belief that we are all imbued with a soul at the exact moment of fertilization, possess within them TWO separate souls.

Basically, I just want to know what you think about this. Is this true? Can one physical body hold two souls within? If so, how exactly does that work? How do THEY attain salvation? Do they both have to agree to accept Jesus?

Here's more information about Chimerism (at Wikipedia): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chimera_%28genetics%29

I have no doubt that god exists. He has hurt me and my family to much for me to praise him. I don't like him.

How do you all feel about him?

i have a co-worker who is a JW & i admire her very much. in fact she offered to study the King James Bible with me during lunch break. i am taking her up on her offer. i have many questions. i really don't understand why JW's get the rap, but i guess the Mormons do too? i do know this one thing, while the mormons ministry can last up to 2 years [because i let them come in one day & talked to them] Jehovah Witnesses keep on, keeping on with sincerity! And i finally got an answer to a question from the Bible that no one or any other religion was ever been able to anwser & there it was right there in front of my face in the Bible all along!

Well a couple of weeks ago my mormon friend and i ( i'm christian) we sharing verses that we liked and she just happened to share this one...she said she liked it!
I Corinthians 15:29:
Otherwise, what do people mean by being baptized on behalf of the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized on their behalf?

It is basically going against what they believe. Because they DO baptizims for the dead. Does anybody find that funny that she liked that verse? I do!

In a book by Lama Surya Das called "Awakening the Buddha Within" I came across this statement on page 26:

"To date, approximately fifteen Western children have been sought out and recognized as lama reincarnations – known as tulkus."

I'm wondering if there are any news articles, stories, biographies, or whatever, about any of these people. What ever became of them? Did they grow up to be lamas? I'm curious if anyone knows some information about them.

And just to be clear: A llama is a furry camel-like creature that you sometimes see on farms, but that's NOT what I'm talking about. A lama is a Tibetan or Mongolian Buddhist monk. Also, I know a lot of you are just itching to tell me how stupid the whole idea of reincarnation is. Don't bother. I don't really believe in reincarnation (but I do keep an open mind on the subject). I'm just curious about the lives of kids who have been identified in this way. What happens to them?

in terms of God and religion belief, do you agree that "from nothing you came, for no reason you exist, to nothing you return"?
if not can you tell from what you came from (please dont say 'monkey'), for what reason you exist, and to what you return (other than you just die and being cremated and will be put in a box)...

seriously im a muslim only trying to understand...but just do whatever you want, answer me or amuse me or insult me...

Briefly describe what you know about Christianity. This is a religious/historical observation on what people know of Christianity. So if you make a statement, you better have something to back up your statements. I want concrete historical evidence, not stereotypes or assumptions.

My folks came from the former Soviet Republic of Moldova, but they do not know of any Jewish traditions of our ancestors due to lack of Jewish education under the Soviet rule.
When I was in Israel a Dutch Jewish immigrant taught me everything relating to the Torah (ex: Parshos, Talmud, rules relating to Shabbas and etc.). Can I adapt his customs? I really like the minhag of his community of waiting 72 minutes before consuming dairy products after eating meat. I have no minhag of my own as I said previously and looking for some minhagim if I can adapt them. My rav thinks it is foolish and I should research Moldavian minhagim. However, every time I ask few Moldavian Jews about our menhagim both here in the States and when I was in Israel most did not know of any. Moldavians who knew said they are like those from other Ashkenazim. If they are similar to other European Minhagim does it mean that I can adapt Dutch, German, Polish, or French menhagim?

Since slavery was "different" back in the biblical days, you know, just like the wine, it wasn't REALLY wine, you see, they weren't REALLY slaves...
yeah, they actually sold themselves into slavery because nothing else was there for them, a room and food, just like on the Southern Plantation, see! that's not REALLY slavery! It's only bad if you beat them so hard they actually die, then you have to pay a fine. God wants you to really be punished for that one.

And it's not like back in biblical days it was based on their race or nationality or anything, right?
actually, I want to know where in the bible it talks about slavery as worse based on racial discrimination....interesting.

Honestly, James Cameron has as much evidence that the grave belongs to some "Jesus'" (i.e. - none) as there is evidence that some magical power is pulling the strings.

The only people tuning in to the program for info will be bored housewives who read "Da Vinci Code" 30 times.....the rest of us will be tuning in for comedy........

Giving up belief in Gods who watch from the sky does not mean that we will become immoral. Rather, it challenges us to re-examine all our moral systems and see which have good foundations in reality and which can be abandoned because they are relics of past moral systems that can no longer be defended rationally.
