As they please?
Since slavery was "different" back in the biblical days, you know, just like the wine, it wasn't REALLY wine, you see, they weren't REALLY slaves...
yeah, they actually sold themselves into slavery because nothing else was there for them, a room and food, just like on the Southern Plantation, see! that's not REALLY slavery! It's only bad if you beat them so hard they actually die, then you have to pay a fine. God wants you to really be punished for that one.

And it's not like back in biblical days it was based on their race or nationality or anything, right?
actually, I want to know where in the bible it talks about slavery as worse based on racial discrimination....interesting.

Leviticus 25:39-55 deals with slavery.

It explicitly states that slavery is okay. It also includes racial discrimination in its rules on slavery, so that is obviously okay, too.

...

Only Israelites were released after seven years. Foreign slaves where permanent. That is definitely racial discrimination. Read the Bible, "Christians."

i get off your point, but in exodus, that is where is talked about slavery, it is no a racial thing, because it was forbidden to have slaves of other nations, that were no Israel.

And, wine is wine, what i mean is that you should no trust the christians or the bibles you have, because their translations, and logically it has lost the original value, get beside a jew or a non christian hebrew speaker and he will explain you more, what im talking about.

And, if understood your question, no, there is no passage on the bible that say slavery as a racial discrimination.

The 'slaves' were released every seventh year.Think that happened on the plantations?
And yes, they did go to work for families to pay off their debts. They were not forced into slavery because of their skin colour.
There were also punisments for treating your slave harshly.
