how evil, and unkind of him to show such mercilessness to amputees. why will he casually "heal" and "fix" every other thing but not amputees? now its because he dosnt WANT to? are you joking?!!

so why does "hell fix them in heaven" not apply to cancer or anything else for that matter? why can you not accept the non sense of it all?

THEOPHILE - then why does he answer any prayers at all? he does answer some according to you, but not amputees. EVER.

It's almost like he's going out of his way to ensure that his actions are consistent with natural events.

As with any life-threatening or debilitating illness or disability, God can use these people to enlighten people.
Without pain, no one can fully understand the concept of mercy, which may seem contradictory, but when thought about makes sense. By knowing how bad things can get, people can appreciate their current status.
As for people in a crisis or in a troubled state, they should take comfort in the fact that this lifetime is infinitely small compared to the eternity we will live. I am perfectly willing to suffer on this earth for 80 or more years, bringing glory to God, and then live for the rest of eternity in the presence of the Lord.
I hope this help give you some insight. I'll be praying.

Why doesn't God want to heal amputees!??!
IF he wanted to, he would.
Maybe He has a bigger plan for them and will allow their disability to glorify him more...Maybe their witness will be stronger because of it...Maybe others will look at someone in such a condition, and stand amazed because that person is NOT bitter at God...Maybe they'll see exceptional faith being exercised through such a person and realize 'Hey maybe there's something to this whole faith in God thing'
He will heal them in heaven, btw.
The thing which concerns me more is: Why doesn't God heal people's bad attitudes? (They can't possibably bring glory to him...)
Some of the most impressive Christians around were those who had infirmities...or with terminal illness...or who endured hardship...or who exhibited extraordinary faith 'despite' physical limitations...
God alone sees the BIGGER picture, so this is a question you should 'leave with him'...

God does want to heal amputees. Remember what Jesus said when he looked out over Jerusalem:
"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! (Luke 13:34)
God wants to do things but requires a person willing for him to do so.
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. (Revelations 3:20)
So, I am not smart enough to know why God does and does not do things, but when something horrible happens it need not be the will of God. When something good does not happen it is almost surely not the will of God.

i am christian however i believe that Jewish catholic Islam and a few choice others will go to heaven. i mean you cant expect that someone who was raised Jewish and such can just go behind what they have been taught.
BOTTOM LINE if GOD is at the top of the board and your religion teaches you too be good kind and faithful you should be allowed to go to heaven.
however if your atheist YOU ARE GOING TO HELL
i mean, what, you choose not to believe in god cause if god is real, which he/she is, then he/she would have to be heartless to let the pain and suffering happen in the world, HE/SHE DOESN'T LET IT HAPPEN you cant help everyone someone has to be UN-HAPPY you perform a miracle for a for someone who needs a heart and someone else loses that heart.
And honestly if you choose a life with no pain you would find that with no pain there's no meaning.
something has to be bad to give meaning to good and although the starving children and a lot others are tortured now if they put their faith in god one day the pain and suffering will be over and they will be happy.
And by the by even if evolution and the big bang is real it doesn't disprove god it disproves Genesis which WAS written by humans i mean many gay people choose to be atheist because they say they are who they are and if the bible says that it is wrong then they choose to ignore god, but we need to understand that the bible was written BY HUMANS and its not that they lied they could have assumed it was wrong because of their modern beliefs

There are people today with issues much less severe than yours who don't get the healing they ask for. The apostle Paul did not get healing for his problem (he only described it as a "thorn in my flesh") though he prayed about it many times. God does not heal "on demand". Many of Christ's followers went to their deaths for their faith, some even today in other parts of the world.
God is merciful. He saves sinners so we can spend eternity with him in our new bodies.

why are you so caught up on the whole amputee thing? even if someone gives a semi-decent response you have already decided in your mind that god is evil and unkind and no one can tell you different.just let it go and relax.

If you take the time and really seriously pray about it GOD will give you your answer. Have you ever read the Bible, or went to church, or talked to a pastor, or watched one on tv or listened to one on the radio? You cant say this or that about GOD if you really dont know him, and you have to want to get to know him through the Bible and church. there are alot of pastors out there that can help you. go to this site www.in touch.org. The pastors name is Charles Stanley and he is not one of those fake money making kind either. You can listen to him, his programs are 1/2 hour long. give it a listen.

God has some kind of fetish for amputees--look at all the bible verses where he commands people to cut off their limbs or gouge out their eyes--there's a whole looooong list on one of my previous questions--if we actually did follow these rules and amputate any "sinful" part opf our bodies, we'd be incapable of sinning--or even surviving

God does not heal all people. Many people get sick and die. We live in a fallen world and suffering comes to all of us. Many people go through their lives living with pain and loss. In those times a person can decide to get bitter or go on and live the best that they can. Don't watch all these faith healers on TV it is as phony as a three dollar bill.

He has before, you just never witnessed it. You ever heard of Smith Wigglesworth? God worked a similar miracle with him, healing a deformed infant.
