Actually there are chemical and electrical signals that can be detected and measured. So the answer is YES.

I feel love inside me. But I do not feel God inside me. That's the burrito I had for lunch.
I see the analogy here, but it doesn't make sense...how many people have you ever met that denied the existence of love?
And how many people have you met that denied the existence of God?
There's really no comparison, because they aren't the same.
Besides, they have found chemicals that produce a love-inducing effect within your body, so...there is scientific evidence of love's existence...I don't feel like finding you proof of that right now, though, so Google it if it's really that important to you.

An atheist would describe love as an emotion derived from the brain, just like hate, greed, pride ecetera. Of course, in an atheist's mind all emotions are equal, there can be no good an evil in an emprical reality.

Since love is an abstraction it is doubtful that its existence can be proved except by the actions of the lover. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Love is one thing, the feeling of attraction is another and affection is yet another thing altogether.

Of course we can. Actually there are two different types of love, passionate love and compassionate love. Ask your question in the psychology section if you actually care about the explanation.

Love is an emotion, sort of like the belief in God.
However, I've actually experienced love, and I've experience God too at some point--short lived and drug induced as it was...,
they were both in my imagination.

Love is an emotion. Emotions have evolved over the millions of years as people have evolved. Love is a real emotion.
