Isn't it strange that the more education and technology advances, the less we see of god?

I have. I was reading the bible - in the new testament - and Jesus was on a mountain talking to the 12 guys ( I forget what they are called) and one of them asked when Jesus would return and he told them in 2000 years. He was 32 ( I think ) at the time. I think that he's going to comeback in 2032 ( It will be soon at least, you can't deny ) which would mean the apocolypse would start in 2025. I don't know, maybe I just imagined it and am being paranoid . . .

This would, of course, be added to the two single largest humanitarian donations from athesists Bill Gates and Warren Buffett.

BUT, let's not forget, that atheists are uncaring and immoral.

Can you people who do not believe G-d please tell me what you think happened to the creature between monkeys and humans. Do you think monkeys and humans were smart enough to survive, but that the creatures in the middle of the evolutionary prosess were just to dumb to make it. Or did evolution just "jump" from monkeys to people. I really seriously want to know what you think happened. Thank you in advance for your answers.

When does God imbue each of us with a soul? Is it at the moment of conception? At what point during conception is the soul siphoned in?

Here's the process:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_fertilisation

Is the soul stuck in there in the beginning, somewhere in the middle or after it's all over?

By the way, I have another question open which pertains to the soul, but this question has to do with 2 souls in one body. Leave me an answer if you think you can help:

As you know, the King James Version was put together by King James 1st of England whom many considered to be a sadist. There were others who helped shape the KJV. BUT, the Geneva Bible in the 1500s was better than the KJV. Whatever happened to the Geneva Bible, is it still around somewhere?

I have been looking at the questions and answeres in the religon/faith area, and am suprised at the war between the atheists and the so-called Christians. At the same time, there are some true Christians, as well as some apparant athiests trying to answer calmley, but why must we have this war? In case you are wondering, I consider myself a Christion with some Hippie-like ideals (can you see those in my question?)

I mean you always hear about how you go to Hell for rejecting Jesus Christ but if we don't have inborn knowledge of Jesus then our socialization of the Bible could be tampered with or flawed; we might have a completely misconstrued idea of God at no fault of our own. If you teach a kid algebra by playing videogames all day then it's your fault the kid doesn't know algebra. And to argue that there's this Holy Ghost who teaches us algebra and that the kid should know algebra despite his incompetent teacher would suggest that you have inborn knowledge of algebra. As for the supposed obligation for the child to learn algebra (i.e. worshiping Jesus) on their own or suffer eternity in Hell is like firing someone for not coming to work on Sunday when you didn't even tell them to.

Based on Job chapters 38 to 41 there is a reference in chapter 40 to a creature known as behemoth (vv.15-24) as this is an obvious reference to a specific animal. Can you make the connection?

Can someone explain to me why people who ask about the attitudes and beliefs of atheists seem to be incapable of using the plural form of the noun?

In most cases, such as the one in this question, the asker uses the singular form "atheist," when they address the question to a plural audience, as evidenced by the verb.

Is it because these people imagine one large "atheist" mind that thinks for all atheists, rather like Star Treks "Borg," or do they imagine themselves speaking only to one person?

It happens with much more regularity than chance would have it

I am a Religious Studies major at my university, and when others learn this about me, they often assume I am a hardcore Christian. I'm actually studying South Asian religions and was raised Catholic but asked to leave my church when I was eleven years old. The majority of other students in my department are not Christian either.

Why, then, is it that when someone mentions the word "religion" it is automatically assumed to imply Christianity? When I asked a friend if he would be bothered if I prayed for his mother (she's ill), he laughed at me and said, "You're not a practicing Catholic, I thought" as if Catholics have a monopoly on prayer.

Is it just because Western Culture is largely Judeo-Christian that the average person equates terms like "religion" and "prayer" with Jesus and only Jesus? When did "Are you religious?" come to mean the same thing as "Are you Christian?"
