I was raised Catholic and I have horrible guilt all the time about everything. I feel like I need to do everything for other people before myself. A few people have told me it was because of the Catholic religion.

I mean like every single culture gives you a destination after death. Why can't it be just like "doesn't exist anymore"?

I came across one answer to the question "why is the bible the word of god?" as "no one was able to prove it wasn't"....which led to this question. Christians, please tell me if you think this reasoning is sound or off base?

You may be a preacher with your spiritual pride,
You may be a city councilman taking bribes on the side,
You may be workin' in a barbershop, you may know how to cut hair,
You may be somebody's mistress, may be somebody's heir

You're gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You're gonna have to serve somebody.
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody.

During his magical preparations for this incarnation Parsons found himself overwhelmed assistance from a young novitiate named Ron Hubbard. Parsons wrote to Crowley at the beginning of 1946. "He(Hubbard) is a gentleman, red hair, green eyes, honest & intelligent & we have become great friends. Although he has no formal training in magic, he has an extraordinary amount of experienct & understanding in the field. Ron appears to have some sort of highly developed astral vision. He describes his angel as a beautiful winged woman with red hair whom he calls the Empress & who has guided him through many times in his life He is in complete accord with our own principles. I have found a staunch companion & comrade in Ron".
But within 3 months, the bonds of friendship were under some strain; Ron claimed Parsons wrote to Crowley, "She has transferred her sexual affections to Ron. I cared for her rather deeply but I have no desire to control her emotions". As if to cement their loyalties, Parsons, Hubbard & Betty decided to
pool their finances & form a business partnership.

I was watching a propaganda film made a couple of years ago, and it had to do with the Talaban in Afghanistan.

Among the things they did was to destroy images of living things. Statues, paintings and the Afghanistan historical film archives.

The question I'm looking to have answered is why, if images of living things are an offense to Allah, why did the Talaban require that people wera photo-identification badges (such as the employees of the film archives showed). Why did they film executions, battles and the punishment of people they disagreed with. Does the Talaban have some special dispensation from Allah to do things he finds offensive?

Let us for one moment take away the bible altogether, do you think your beliefs be the same. Our basis of God & the knowledge we have of him stems from a book that we sometimes can and sometimes cannot take literally depending on you you speak to, so let us take away this book for a minute. Do you think stories passed on for two or three thousands years would still be believed today, would they even be the same stories at this point. Would religion have survived at all. What basis would you have to go on at this point. Curious is all.

When there is so much evidence that the Bible is actually not the Word of God at all? All one has to do, is a basic search on, how the "Bible is wrong, science disproves the Bible, and or Atheism.." in order to find actual scientific and reasonable evidence that disproves Christianity and the Bible?

Because it is, of course, part of his divine will. My question is .... is it still considered sinning if the actions you take effect your life and everyone around you, and play a role in god's plan for all the aforementioned's lives? For example, if someone murders your parents, but their death leads you to become a christian and gives you the capability to witness to and convert those who have lost close family members in a similar way, was that murder really a sin? Or was it just doing god's work?

I was wondering why some of the names in the bible are in Greek? Like Leviticus?? and why it seems none of them are Hebrew, since that was the original language. I mean, John, Samuel, Tim, Mary, these dont sound jewish/middle eastern to me...

(Yeshua does though. :D)

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said :"The example of me and the prophets before is like a man who built a house and made it very beautiful except for a place of a brick,so the people used to pass by the house and wonder:"why don't you put that brick",i am that brick and i am the seal of all prophets."
