The law, the prophets, and the writings -- Holy Scriptures. This is your words of wisdom that Jesus taught (Jesus was a Rabbi).
We have four accounts of Jesus' life where He administered to Jews (descendants of Israel (Jacob)). In those accounts you will find that Jesus states he did not come to change the Holy Scripture but to fulfill them.
Here is probably the best wisdom that we have: Jesus lived, Jesus was executed, and God raised Jesus from the dead. Jesus is the first born from the dead. Our hope for eternal life.

Salt and Light
13"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
14"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

I particularly like Matt 7:12 (KJV) Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
However, it's not quite as good as Confucius (500 BC) "Do not do to others what you do not want done to you."
