Not enough choices to cover the range. There were also people who did the opposite of what they thought God wanted them to do (Jonah), tricksters on both sides (Jacob, Judah, Laban, Joseph), people who were well-meaning but clueless (Lot & family), people who started out well but sputtered and flamed out (Saul, David AND Solomon) and some downright scary zealots (Phineas, Jephthah, Jael, Absalom Elijah, Elisha).

The Bible has a full cross-section of characters, good examples and bad. The challenge is to figure out which is which. It souldn't be all that hard but some literalists figure if it's in the Bible, it must be right.

Not to nitpick but 5. all of the above, isn't a true option because 1 and 2 cannot coexist. Sorry, just wanted to point that out in case you didn't mean it like that.

Anyway, I would choose 2 and 4. I'm agnostic-atheist and I think the possibility of a God existing, as described or in any similar fashion, is pretty close to nil.

Some inspired by a spiritual experience, some inspired by greed, some inspired by lunacy, some inspired by power.

If you want to attribute all of that to God, as the Bible does, then there you go...

I would have to say five if you augmented the inspired to thought to be inspired or falsely inspired by god as most were uneducated primitive people highly subject to superstition with out question . Much like people today sometimes. And also I would like to remind you that no one is actually in the bible it is only made of words that sometimes reference to people whether real or fictional .

All the people you mentioned and more. One is even God(Jesus)
Some of them were just folks who wanted to get along.

All of the above. God tells us the history of mankind. And especially the story of man's sinfulness and fall, man's devotion to Him and God's way of redeeming man through Jesus Christ.
