the purpose of our life is to obey ALLAH (God) and his last prophet Mohammad(PBUH) for our own benifit ;to suceed in this workd and in the hereafter ,ie;going in heaven otherwise hell forever.........Our life on this earth has a specific purpose; it is not the result of nature's accident, nor is it a punishment for eating the fruit of the forbidden tree. We are here according to God's plan: the worldly life is a test; it is a chance to prove ourselves as deserving of the eternal blissful life in the hereafter. God did not create us just for few years of this life. To be created just for this world's life would amount to a joke played by the Creator with the human species. Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam, said, "You have not been created to perish; on the contrary, you have been created for eternal life." According to Islam, the final destination of mankind is the life hereafter. At the end of time, all human beings will be resurrected and will be held accountable for their worldly life: The life in hereafter will be an eternal life. However, whether it will be blissful or full of sorrow depends on how we spend our present life. It was to help mankind in achieving this objective that God sent various prophets and messengers to guide them. Muhammad is the last prophet; and Islam is the final and complete version of God's message

You give your life your own purpose. Some people will devote their lives to accumulating wealth. Some people will devote their life to the study of a particular bacteria species. The wonderful thing is we can each decide for ourselves what we want to do with our lives. Isn't it liberating?

My purpose is to enjoy life, to learn as much as I can, and to be a devoted husband, and when the time comes, father. To teach my children right from wrong, respect, ethics, morality, critical thinking and chess.

I give myself this purpose.

This life is a test, which determines where we are going to live forever after we die. There are angels recording everything that we're doing, which goes in our own personal records, which will be used to judge us by God All-Mighty.

We're here to worship the one and only God (Allah), to do good deeds, to abstain from doing evil, etc...as much good as we can do to get more "points" to attain the highest level in the afterlife and to avoid going to the hell fire.

The Holy Qur'an is your best resource. I happily became a Muslim (from being Catholic), and wish the same for everybody!

All the best in your search for the truth!

Life's meaning is not pre-determined and planned out. You must find your own destiny and meaning; you must create it. You have something -- life, the here-now, the present -- and must make the best out of it. You must answer why you are here.
