I have been looking at the questions and answeres in the religon/faith area, and am suprised at the war between the atheists and the so-called Christians. At the same time, there are some true Christians, as well as some apparant athiests trying to answer calmley, but why must we have this war? In case you are wondering, I consider myself a Christion with some Hippie-like ideals (can you see those in my question?)

Because almost all religeons are intollerant of those who don't share their beliefs and there are those who turn that intollerance into hatred.

Ignorance has much to do with such ideals. Usually opinnion is from ones own understanding. Mostly, idividual cases are not clearly explained.
Jugements are natural. It is important to remember that personal truths are not always going to be excepted by a majority.
In my opinion, Hate is just an easy way of explaining arguments that have not been looked into completely.

Good question; good point! I just made the same observation. I too am a Christian and try darn hard not to judge others. But I am thoroughly shocked at the number of 'proclaimed' atheists! I believe in God but I don't hate anybody for their beliefs; I just feel so sorry for them.

Humans are not perfect. We are a constant calculation comprised of the People we have met + Places we have been + Things that we have done. So our actions, reactions and interactions are a result of our environment. Some just seem to think that hate and anger are acceptable behaviors to direct at others that do not share their views.

Human nature.
I think it's really that simple, but I'll elaborate. I think some people like conflict, and some people like peace. Whatever the nature of the actual opinions they hold, or claim to hold, it's almost incidental. Some Christians like to argue; some atheists like to argue: same personality type, different "language" if you will. Conversely some atheists are really trying to enlighten people, to save them from their primitive superstitions - which is exactly the role that "Evangelicals" see themselves in.

It is foretold to Christians that many will hate them and you are right in calling those that spew hate in return as so-called Christians. Christ even loved the people who crucified Him and asked God to forgive them.
But, even Christians are human and sometimes get angry when something that is as important to them as their faith is made fun of and maligned as stupid etc. Most atheists that address this forum on the other hand seem to have nothing that tells them it is wrong to disrespect or make fun of other people so they just spew hatred like it is their right to do so.
I have conversed with only a very very few who are respectful and maintain human dignity and I respect their views even though I do not agree with them.

Hatred and war are pretty loaded words to be using in discussing questions and answers in an Internet forum. I don't see a lot of hatred or warfare here, just a lot of ignorance and frustration.

Become a Buddhist. Any religion remotely related to the Middle East (Christianity, Islam, Judaism) will ultimately endorse hate, judgement and death.
The question is cultural, not one of psychology or human nature. We do what we know. We know what we inherit from our 'tribe'.

how do you think of negative things ? are you positive and complimentary of evil too? so why should even a dispassionate answer towards a perceived ignorance be anything but negative ? such is just appropriate and you add the emotion not I.

I really think that people just all feel differently, and people are very aggressive when it comes to defending what they believe in. I get that way...if a question is easily answered, i typically elaborate to express my feelings more than necessary.
its just a natural thing to defend your beliefs, and i think we all do it.
