Everyone interprets the Bible differently, right?

So why was Charles Manson so wrong in his interpretation? (No obvious answers please, I'm looking for something a little deeper then "murder is wrong")

Who REALLY knows that what Manson "believed" isn't what God intended?

Even though most religons teach non violence, throughout history, a lot of violence has been laced with religon. Some examples are the Christian Crusades, how the Catholic Church tortured non followers, the war between the protestants and the catholics, the holocaust, the september 11 attacks. Also, why is there so much anti semitism if Jesus Christ said to love thy enemies and when he was killed by the Jews, he said to forgive them because they did not know. So if you claim to be Christian, why do you hate Jews? People also use religon to hate on gays. People say God hates gays but isnt it true that God love everyone, even if you betray him. Can someone please answer me?

Atheists claim that the Jesus story happened before in other cultures. Why was this one so popular? Do you think there's more to it than mythology?

I know Christians often have a cross as their headstone and Jews have the star of david, so what do atheists have? A beaker? A microscope?

Also, I know that Christians say they will pray for me when I am in need, but what will atheists do... perform science tricks for me? Thanks for your help, science bless you.

There is not way out. He had gone too far! He knows with perfect lucidity that he must die in vain. He is trapped in something he never intended to perform; he never dreamed of dying for the sin of Mankind. This will be imputed to him by a humanity which wants to get rid of its big heap of sins and which needs a victim to take over the heavy burden.
If he were a God who came down to earth to die for the sins of mankind, he would not suffer the agonies of Bethany!
Still you think he died for your sins. You made him die for your sins, you need a scape goat. You sucked his energy and you fed of him because it was obvious he was truely alive unlike you dead ones. You need people like him. When he could not prove any longer you had him finished.

Everyone who dare says, he died for our sins! Is a damn fool, he would never do that! You all killed a real living good man to cover yourselves, now you feel safe, shame on all for that!

Do you still think he died for you?

I believe in a higher power, but i dont know if he or she or them or it is good or bad...it could be a squirrel for all i know. i believe in the supernatural, and i believe in miracles. I believe in peoples rights, gay marriage, and a womens choice.

The point is that it doesnt matter to me what your religion is,, the fact is that I dont believe in any religion, only my own.

How about you?

Those being two boxes containing possibly the remains of Jesus' family and/or Mary (the one Jesus associated with more than the other Marys). The persons responsible for digging those up, are looking for the unglorified body of Jesus (as they described it). Didn't his human body shell go to Heaven when He died & was glorified whenHe returned after the ressurection? How would this affect you if they found the unglorified body of Jesus? Is all this just a test of our faith in him?

I really like what I’ve found researching this religion so far. I'm looking for a religion that fits me the best. I'm very in touch with god and I pray every single night. However I don’t like strict religions (I don’t believe that a person can go to hell no matter how much they have sinned.) I'm very happy and upbeat when it comes to God. However what I have found out that spiritualism is a cult Im not so sure about that. But hey can someone straighten some things out for me? Maybe I'm the kind of person that does not need a religion and I’ll believe what I want.

Answers to questions that believers frequently ask atheists:

Why do you not believe in god?
No evidence.

Do you worship Satan/practice witchcraft?
No and no. (& witchcraft isn't nessesarily "evil")

Why don't you believe the bible?
First of all, atheists don't believe the bible is completely fictional. (We believe much of the historical parts.) Second of all, see the first question.

Where do your morals/ethics come from?
Logic. We care about others as well as ourselves to ensure the survival of our species. & does it really take a god to make people care about other people?

Why do you hate believers?
Not all atheists hate believers. The ones that do might do so because some believers try to convert nonbelievers/look down on nonbelievers.

How do you explain the origin of the universe?
How do you explain the origin of god?

How do you explain holes in the fossil record?
First of all, we haven't discovered all there is to discover. Second of all,

my soul has been stolen by smurfs. then they crashed their mighty hammers on my soul. the impact was so great, that pieces of my soul went flying halfway across the world. it just so happened that 7 homosexual demons came across them. they ate the souls, which caused them to start tap-dancing crazily. thoses 7 demons are hiding in 7 caves. The pieces of my shattered soul still remain in their tap-dancing stomachs. Then i go on a mighty adventure with ZERO COOL, Nicholas h., ARMUND STEELE, curious, jim darwin, and hello kitty to find and kill those silly tap-dancing demons and retrieve my souls so i can go to heaven.

is this a good topic?

I read this stuff from a reliable source and was shocked by some of the apparently-Mormonistic views! Are these truly beliefs held by the Mormons?

1. Mormons can become gods and goddesses.

2. Goddesses will spend eternity in full submission to their god-husband.

3. Mormon women will give birth “forever and ever” to spirit-babies.

4. Mormon men can have multiple wives in heaven—eternal polygamy.

5. Heavenly Father is an exalted man who lives with his goddess wife, Heavenly Mother, on a planet near the great star Kolob.

6. American Indians are descendants of the wicked Lamanites, who were Israelites that God cursed with dark skin.

7. God the Father had sex with Mary to conceive Jesus, who is the half brother of Lucifer.

8. All Christian churches are an abomination.

9. Mormons need 4 secret handshakes to get into the Celestial heaven.

10. Joseph Smith revealed that the actual Garden of Eden is in Jackson County, Missouri.
