It reeks of a publicity stunt. Cameron hasn't made a film in like 10 years so he has do something to get people's attention...and its not costing him a cent. The media is doing all the work for him.
As an aside...I find it amusing that some people are so quick to dismiss thousands of years of history, tradition and archealogical research so that they can believe in a fiction writer and the guy who directed Terminator. "I'LL BE BACK!" (Hey, didnt Jesus say that too?)

Mark 16:1-6 states...So when the sabbath had passed, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices in order to come and grease him. And very early on the first day of the week they came to the memorial tomb, when the sun had risen. And they were saying one to another: “Who will roll the stone away from the door of the memorial tomb for us?” But when they looked up, they beheld that the stone had been rolled away, although it was very large. When they entered into the memorial tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side clothed in a white robe, and they were stunned. He said to them: “Stop being stunned. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was impaled. He was raised up, he is not here. See! The place where they laid him
There was no body in the tomb. No body, no bones.

Isn't it odd that a movie director has it? There were many people with the name Jesus at that time. It could be A jesus in it but not THE Jesus in it. )the Jesus of the Bible) The Bible records what took place after Jesus died. It's just that simple.

It makes no difference whatsoever. You'll never convince those who wish to believe in Him otherwise. Those who choose not to believe in Him will hop on any bandwagon that blows their horn. Raising these questions in some ways is good for Christianity. They cause many to reevaluate their spirituality and search for deeper answers. The DaVinci Code did this for me. I thank God I read that book. It set me on a course that made me question and read and search. Ultimately, it led me back to the bible. Study the old testament prophecies of the Christ. They are too numerous to be coincidence. BlueLetterBible.com is an excellent bible study resource.

Oh, it is only going to make someone rich....
like James Cameron.
It's just a scare tactic to get peoples attention and to rattle their faith, such as the DaVinci code did.
