There is not way out. He had gone too far! He knows with perfect lucidity that he must die in vain. He is trapped in something he never intended to perform; he never dreamed of dying for the sin of Mankind. This will be imputed to him by a humanity which wants to get rid of its big heap of sins and which needs a victim to take over the heavy burden.
If he were a God who came down to earth to die for the sins of mankind, he would not suffer the agonies of Bethany!
Still you think he died for your sins. You made him die for your sins, you need a scape goat. You sucked his energy and you fed of him because it was obvious he was truely alive unlike you dead ones. You need people like him. When he could not prove any longer you had him finished.
Everyone who dare says, he died for our sins! Is a damn fool, he would never do that! You all killed a real living good man to cover yourselves, now you feel safe, shame on all for that!
Do you still think he died for you?

Agreed...how can a person dies for other people's sin. No person in a right mind will find logic in that.
These people are just living in denial..and want to believe that there are saved by that one man and wants to believe he dies to save his followers from sin or whatever.
Dude, if you did wrong and sinned you still go to hell....

Kris,
Let us assume that every word you wrote is true (minus one small sentance). Let us assume that he was trapped. Let us assume that he tried and tried and tried, and we sucked and sucked, and sucked, and eventaully we took this scapegoat and killed him. Let us assume that we as men killed a perfectly innocent man to make ourselves feel good.
I have no arguement with you at all. None. It is all perfect and flawless.
Now...lets go to that one sentence...
"If he were a God who came down to earth to die for the sins of mankind, he would not suffer the agonies of Bethany!"
Ahhh...why not? because it doesn't make sense to you? Hold on everybody...Lets stop the world for a bit. Kris can't understand something so it must not be true or possible.
Do you understand why a mother would kill her own infant weeks after giving birth? Can you understand why a complete stranger would dive and atake a bullet for someone else? There are tons of arguemnts here, but just because you can't get your mind around it, it does not mean it is not possible.
No, for arguments sake, let us assume the Jesus was God made Flesh....just for arguments sake. Knowing what he knew, that he was to be put to death, and die a long painful death, he could have said "No freakin' way buddy!!!" and had a chariot of angels take him to Costa Rica for a nice holiday. In fact, he almost did. He asked to "pass this cup." He didn't want to die. But he knew he had to. He knew that is was part of being mortal. He knew that his ultimate sacrafice was only a scapegoat, or rather the perfect lamb (chi rho), to wash away the sins of mankind. So he did it. He accepted his fate.
Now that argument is only valid if you believe that Jesus was Divine. But your one sentence "If he were a God who came down to earth to die for the sins of mankind, he would not suffer the agonies of Bethany!" shows us you do not belive this. So what does this question really show us?
That you are trying to find an arguement to disprove people's faith. Good luck to you. I don't know why you want to try to waste your time doing that. Maybe it's to help people re-affirm their faiths. Or maybe its because you are just really really really small...I mean bored.

Yes.. To disbelieve that He died to take away our sins means there is no salvation. There would be no hope, no eternal life, and no such thing as Heaven or a way to get there. If He didn't die to forgive us, then He is a liar and liar is something He isn't. If Jesus did not die to take our sins away would mean that the Bible teaches false document. Jesus came SO HE Could die thus taking our sins away. He didn't have to...He wanted to.

I do not think He died for my sins. I KNOW He died for my sins. And yours as well. Why do say if He were God he would not suffer the agony. Do you not know John 3:16. He loved us that much. He loves me that much and he loves you that much as well

I don't ask you to believe what I believe, though I see you demanding that I do or be considered a fool.. But My authority for my faith in the Bible and there it is written:
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
I guess I keep the scripture and ignore you..... You can call me what you will.... Jim

I doubt he ever really died...just a group of renegade Jewish people made the story up because they were a breakaway faction of the original Jewish religion. It is a fable born of ignorance just like the god story. It explained things a long time ago that no one could explain.

Christ was well capable of taking all of our sin with Himself upon the cross. No problem. And, He is still calling each one to come unto Him and receive the forgiveness of their sins and to be transformed.

You speak your opinion as if it were fact. I don't believe Christ Jesus will be too impressed with your opinions or your excuses come judgment day. I know Christ Jesus died for all of our sins.
God Bless You....Peace.
