I once went whale watching in Massachusetts and after being told to look for what is known as a foot print (circular waves on the waters surface) to see where a whale would surface, I walked to the opposite side of the ship we were on and stood alone looking down at the water. I said a small prayer asking god that if I was psychic and had any connection with him and nature, to let a whale come up exactly where I was looking. After a few seconds, I could see a foot print forming on the water and a hump back whale breached the water only a few yards from me. When it hit the water I could feel the spray of moisture on my face. I called to the rest of the sight seers on the boat to come to the side where I was. It was one of the most amazing, moving, exciting experiences that has ever happened to me and I felt as if I had truly communed with God and those sea mammals. To me it was mystical.
