I really like what I’ve found researching this religion so far. I'm looking for a religion that fits me the best. I'm very in touch with god and I pray every single night. However I don’t like strict religions (I don’t believe that a person can go to hell no matter how much they have sinned.) I'm very happy and upbeat when it comes to God. However what I have found out that spiritualism is a cult Im not so sure about that. But hey can someone straighten some things out for me? Maybe I'm the kind of person that does not need a religion and I’ll believe what I want.

I don't know what, officially, Spiritualism is, but I like your attitude, and I identify with it, although I am an atheist. I believe that religions should not be interpreted literally, but I am attracted (or repelled) by some of the symbolism and philosophy of religions. Many different religions have varying degrees of worth, wisdom, and appeal for me. I have a favorite. I read that the North American Indians of the northwestern Great Plains believed that the world was filled with spirits, everywhere and in everything, and that a person's quest in life was to get in touch with their particular spirit-guide. If they could avoid all the false spirit-guides that would try to mislead or destroy them, and if they could hear and follow their true spirit-guide, they would do and become what what was truly meant to be, and fulfill their ideal destiny.

Listen here, you are not looking for a true religion, you are just looking for a way in which you have a good spiritual feeling (never mind whether it is a lie or not). Why not just agree to it that once you acknowledge that G-d created you and gives you life, you should have a tremendous debt of gratitude. If you dont want to sacrifice anything for it ("...I dont like strict religions...") you can as well jump into a lake right now (G-d forbid). Go look into yourself and ask: What is important truth or the feeling which I want to achieve. If it is just the feeling, then you are no better then all the rest of them and you might as well become a X-tian, Muslim or Hinduist. If it is a search about truth - which is genuine - you might look into the Seven Laws of Noach. Succes!

Well, if you take a trip to Cassadaga, Florida, almost everyone who lives there is Spiritualist. It came about in the 1800s and was popular until the early part of this century, but it may be coming back. A lot of Victorian-era bohemians and reformers, including Victoria Woodhull, were Spiritualists.

If you really like what you've found "... in this religion ..." then why are you asking for information regarding Spiritualism? Religion is dogmatic and Spiritualism is not ... Spiritualism is open minded.

Continue to pray as you have and keep an open mind. The doors will open for you when the time is correct.

The best form of spiritual practice is selfless service. i believe that would suit you best.

Selfless service can be of any nature. Helping out at the old folks home, orphanages, making donations to the needy, cleaning up your neighbourhood or your church, joining a humanity group to help in disaster relief etc.

However the service must not be done for personal gain e.g. money, fame etc. It should be done out of love for mankind regardless of race and religion. It must be done as a service to God.

The hands that serve are holier than the lips that chant prayers.

i think you answered your own question " i'll believe what i want" however true religion is living a christian(Christ Like) life style without sin and sorry to burst your bubble a life lived in sin is cause one to go to hell. God is a Holy God who stand for righteousness whom you claim you pray to why don't you ask Him to direct you to true Holiness. The reads repent and be baptized in Jesus name for the remissions of your sins and you shall receive the Holy Ghost.
