I believe in a higher power, but i dont know if he or she or them or it is good or bad...it could be a squirrel for all i know. i believe in the supernatural, and i believe in miracles. I believe in peoples rights, gay marriage, and a womens choice.

The point is that it doesnt matter to me what your religion is,, the fact is that I dont believe in any religion, only my own.

How about you?

Some people are making great points that really make you think.
Just so everyone knows, im not dissing anyones religion or beliefs.
I simply mean that the idea of religion is something i do not believe in because of certain methods they teach or how the religion itself came to be.

:)

I agree other people's beliefs are their own. So long as they aren't looking to force their beliefs on me I think they have a right to them and should be respected. I hate it when people go around condemning others. If religion divides more than it unites something is wrong. Sometimes I think people need to be more content to live their own beliefs rather than trying to convert everyone. I understand that part of their religion is to convert people but I always feel this is rather offensive and in a way intolerant. I'm like you, I have no religion and don't believe in it for myself.

That's an interesting point of view. I am an atheist. I don't believe in any deities, be they old men with beards, or golden retrievers in the sky. The reason I don't believe in god(s) is because there is no evidence that supports their existence.

However, I do believe that religions exist. I see evidence that many people believe in their "relationships" with their gods. Hence I do believe that religions exist, unlike the gods behind those religions.

You don't beleive in your own; you believe in imaginary things: supernatural, miracle, gay marriage...
If you don't learn to live practically, you will waste your precious life the immense nothingness.
All human beings are created to enjoy happiness through learning, why you choose to follow your empty imaginations!

I'm there with ya. Higher power? I kinda like the idea of it being a squirrel...

This question really made me smile, with my heart. It's refreshing to see someone so open and accepting.

Hopefully no one will downplay your beliefs (although I think that's inevitable on here).

have a great night!

It doesnt matter if you follow a religion or not. As long as your soul is pure and you do good while you are on earth. That's all He wants.

I'm a Christan that don't believe in religion either: I believe in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Um....that's a religion. It's called being an agnostic.

And the point is that God's existence is not based on whether or not you believe in Him. He's there anyway, whether you like it or not. I hope you don't find this out the hard way. If someone's holding a sword to my throat, I don't have to believe in it, but when it cuts me it's too late--I'm dead.

My religion is simple. Believe in myself and try everyday to be the best person I can be, No need for a reward when I am done, and no fear of consequence if I fail. Just one man trying his best to be the best man he can be,
