i was wondering.... since your religion believes that Jesus was the messiah...

lets say some day a guy was born, and when he grew up he clamed on national television that HE was the messiah who had returned to take his followers back to heaven.....

would you believe him? what do you look for in order to believe him?

people all the time claim that they are "jesus" or that god talks to them... where do you draw the line as to who is genuine and who is false?

I have been dating a girl for 3 or 4 years off and on. I can't seem to get away from her. When I am with her I am unhappy and when I am away from her I feel like I am tortured to get back with her. I feel like she all of a sudden becomes very seductive and I think about her a lot and dream of her. I don't feel like its right in my heart but for some reason I can't let her go. I feel kind of doomed to keep being with her and feel that its only going to get harder. We have broken up and gotten back together quite a bit. She was the first woman I slept with and she is incredible good looking and very seductive. Could this be spiritual warfare keeping me from fufilling my purpose or being with the right person? She became a Christian recently but when I am not with her it seems as if its not sincere. She was talking about being a cocktail server at a gentlemens club to make more money! Your prayers would be greatly appreciated. thanks :(

Or are they discouraged and frightened by your course and harsh vulgar dialog? Even at my age I find some of it hard to stomach. But as a younger Christian child I wouldn't even recognize it as a religious and spiritual page. What are you willing to do to encourage children to benefit by engaging and participating in discussions on this forum?

I asked the other day about that ten-year-old boy who was in the news a while back.

He had prayed fervently to have his leg restored, which had been lost in a farming accident. Unbeknownst to his parents he had uttered the prayer every night for a year.

I put a question in here about that, and people in reply came up with theories why the little boy's prayer never was answered.

Question: can you guess what some of them were?

What would be your favorite theory as to why a little boy's prayers were not answered?
And then last week came a funny item in the news: A duck born with four legs.
So now the same people who ventured theories why God didn't give the little boy a leg, you are invited to venture theories why God gave the duck four legs

Since God is all-powerful, giving a little boy one leg shouldn't be any harder than giving a duck four legs?

Even if it is known among their entire family that they never practiced that?

A cousin of mine was unexpectedly shot and killed over the weekend (I'm the only one who saw it coming with the way he lives and wasn't shocked at the news). His grandparents who raised him (his mother couldn't be bothered to be around until he had legitimate children) are planning the funeral to be very religious even though it was well known that he was not. He and his current ex-wife (who is by far the more trustworthy and likeable of the two) sent their children to the pariochal school and church that his grandparents attended and sent him to as a youngster but everyone knew he was not a Christian. He was into drugs, the occult and the rough life in general while putting up this front that he was the best man ever. I adored his ex and children but I always got the creeps around him that I could not explain.

Is it right for them to decide that, since his soul obviously can't be saved at this point?

A survey from the BBC Focus magazine rates religion as one of the top ten “worst inventions ever”. Top of the list are “weapons” followed by “the mobile phone”. Nuclear power, the Sinclair C5 and television came in joint third. Perhaps unsurprisingly, cigarettes, fast food and speed cameras also saw their fair share of the votes, and religion made an appearance. The poll involved 4,000 people nationwide and was conducted through the Radio Times (UK).

Do you think religion is one of man's worst inventions?... no cheating by saying you don't think religion is an invention of man's please, we all know it is.

READ THE SNIP:
Founder of ex-Muslim group threatened
COLOGNE, Germany, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- The founder of a group in Germany for former Muslims has sought police protection after receiving death threats.

Mina Ahadi, a native of Iran living in Cologne, said about three dozen people have joined the Central Council of Ex-Muslims.

"I happened to be born in a Muslim family, and I have decided not to be a Muslim," she told the magazine Focus.

Ahadi said she and other members of the group have been "terrorized" and have received death threats, most of them sent via e-mail.

In many Muslim countries, people who abandon the faith face the death sentence under Sharia law.

Ahadi said she hoped to represent the interests of former Muslims who do not practice the religion. She chose the name as a play on the Central Council of Muslims, which has about 800,000 members and is the largest Islamic group in Germany.

yet, some of us have had spouses that have died and have remarried since. What would be the significance of recognizing
a relative or friend assuming that they made it to heaven as well?
Also if we can remember earthly occurrences and acquaintances,
wouldn't it be a sad day in heaven if you realized that your son,
daughter, mother ,father or good friend went to the BAD PlACE?
