When you consider what Christianity means specifically to you, does it refer to what you believe, how you behave, or the changes you feel in your emotional state?

When you look at Christianity as a whole, does it refer to beliefs, behavior, or emotions?

If the answers are different, please explain. (If you think others have different opinions, please explain the disagreement.)

My religion came out of another 2000 years ago. My religion has roughly 3900 divisions all claiming to the the right part, 520 divisions in America believe you must be a member of their little group to go to heaven. We believe in God and his son came to earth 2000 years to die for everyone, we haven't had much agreement since then. In fact we fight amoung ourselves nearly over evry single teaching written in our book. We don't agree who the son was (God or a Son of God). Many of our leaders have been convicted of crimes and unethical behavior, Jim Bakker, Jim Swaggert and also many of our leaders and molested children, 100's just in the U.S. We're not really sure of the message the creator has given or the way it was delievered, we disagree on that too. Some of us believe there was a new message in 1800, Joe Smith has a book with a new message, still some of us follow JW part, we just can't agree...WELCOME to OUR MINE FIELD!

BTW, make a mistake & you burn forever
Love, YA!

Hi, I'm from a country called Malaysia. Here, our goverment encourages the pursuit of knowledge, and I'm also a Muslim.

So practicly we are encouraged to study not only our own history and religion, but other field such as science, literature, physics and mathematics too. We once built the tallest building in the world, The Petronas Twin Tower.

So tell me, how does your culture influence your religious practice and belief?

Let's share each others opinion and view point.

I thought this up and will try to explain it.
If "Now" can be considered eternal, is the state of "now" always where I am currently in?
Then if I remember yesterday, I bring it into the now.
So the life I had up until yesterday was just a story I told myself today.

So am I currently existing as myself in my life experience or am I the re-enactment "god"(vague term for all known and unknown knowledge) is experiencing as we tell him the story?

I'd imagine there will be a point in my existence that I will join with other like minds and we will bring our knowledge and experience we have gathered back into the original circle or home.

But from various sources, I have concluded that we are able to freely exchange experience in spirit form via creative intentions.

So as we give our gifts of experience and knowledge to "god", then he/she would be in a state of experiencing our story.

Now, who is to say, which is experiencing now. The me before telling god, or god hearing and feeling the story I am telling him/her.

The implications would be that my life would have 2 separate showings, one for me during life, and one for god as mentioned above.
Now, since we can't have separation, are both happening at the same time?

But with time, we have an illusion of growth. I'm curious how we would measure time without the sun, moon, earth..and so on.
It would all be measured by growth. Bringing newfound knowledge into the now, as it was always there, but we or "I" had no experience of it being there.
So the infinite focus' I choose to project my awareness into bring time back to the infinite. When I am passionate in the things I do, time disappears. It's because "My heaven" only sees the things I very much desire. So we can eliminate time for pure experience.

Our potential could be that, if everyone had a same underlying dream or goal that encouraged them to be the people they choose to be, and be the greatest person they imagine they can be, Time would be ours to manipulate as we would have a major consensus regarding the nature of time and that truth would be constantly exposed to everyone.

Sounds like a fantasy.
But it's the future I see and would work towards more efficiently if I was constantly exposed to like minds that wish the same.

Sorry about the relation to god analogy but, what it means to me is very important in this scenario.

Our lives are the greatest story ever told and the story never ends, because we keep writing it.
(Honestly on a deeper level I believe this is the greatest song ever composed, seems more true to me)

How do intelligent human beings follow a religion based on human sacrifice? Whether or not Jesus was "The Son Of God" , he was still in human form when they killed him. And it has nothing to do with who actually crucified him because Christians by definition *needed* and *wanted* him to die for their own salvation.
So cut to 2007, why do people still believe this stuff?
We are talking sacrifice here. They actually believe that you must sacrifice a lamb to get to heaven. Jesus being the lamb in question.
How do they criticize the 'primitive' religions for sacrificing a goat, when they sacrificed a being as well. It doesn't make any sense.

It almost seems like Christianity was like a stepping stone to a more evolved spirituality, but that for some reason the masses got stuck there.

What happened?

if so, surely you pray instead of go to the doctor upon learning of a life-threatening illness.

Or is it that you are fine with logic, as long as it's not applied to your God Delusion?

Nobody knows where the original Quran is. The Quran that we have in our hands now is called the Uthman's Quran, which was collected long after Mohammed's death. Parts of the original Quran must have been lost, after many of the reciters of the Quran died or were killed in battle. Uthman, the third Caliph (successor of Mohammed) gathered what was left of the Quran, arranged it by length of Surahs rather than chronologically, then burned all other existing copies.

Maybe this is wrong and the original Quran exists. Where is it or if not where is the oldest copy and when was it written?

This isn't for everyone I suppose.

At times I can get on levels of thought at which I cannot relate the thought to words but have travelled? into a certain area of philosophy or study that in some way feels like I open to a circle of like minds that are constantly pondering also that area of knowledge, but although I somehow sense them, I feel they sense me also.

Does that make any sense?

It's like there is a circle of people unkown to me that have similar thought patterns that I feel share a same view of reality "almost" but very close due to biased experiences and they area constantly feeding off me and my travells into deep thought and vice versa.

Did they believe that their repent and good work cannot be accepted unless someone die on the cross?

Did they believe that man is going to hell by "default" and they were waiting for some one to change this?

If not then why call Jesus a gift & why call his message "god news"?

Is it good news to know that you and your ancestors were deceived by God for thousands of years?

Eze 18:21 "But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.
