Hi, I'm from a country called Malaysia. Here, our goverment encourages the pursuit of knowledge, and I'm also a Muslim.

So practicly we are encouraged to study not only our own history and religion, but other field such as science, literature, physics and mathematics too. We once built the tallest building in the world, The Petronas Twin Tower.

So tell me, how does your culture influence your religious practice and belief?

Let's share each others opinion and view point.

my culture does not influence my religous beliefs, actually just the oppisite has happened, living in the USA has opened my eyes to the biggest hoax in the history of the world. RELIGION.

gods do not exist, gods are nothing more than abstract primitive thoughts.
early in mans history, mankinds not-so-evolved brain could not process alot of things it witnessed, when this primitive man seen things he could not understand, it was waved away as an act of the gods. eventually this superstition led to shamans, and 'holy-men' being put into a position of power for each individual tribe or culture.
these 'holy-men' learned thier value, and kept up the whole deity charade to maintain thier elevated position within thier culture.
these religous charlatains have used superstition, and fear of the unknown as leverage against the masses throughout mankinds existance.
The Human race is an ever evolving spieces, And we are on the brink of another MAJOR evolutionary change, this next step our race takes on the evolutionary ladder will happen when we finally discard the old primitive thought process, and discard the gods.
One day real soon people will begin to realize that they are being scammed by false Holy-Men and the high pedestal we have put them all on will come crashing down.
Why should Man worship and praise petty, non-existant gods, when it is Man that are the gods?
we are the most evolved speices on the planet, and yet we still hang on to the old primitive beliefs.

THERE IS NO GOD, ONLY WEALTHY PRIESTS

properly, the Emperor became seen a minor god. His style of Shinto became diverse from the Shinto practiced with the aid of something of Japan. i do no longer think of Buddhism got here to Japan till the 1100s or the 1300s? idk...i might could flow seem it up. So there is that to contemplate as properly. It became a large upheaval for the folk via fact Buddhism became seen aggressive, via fact that Buddhists at that factor each so often might burn down the Shinto temples with the intention to get rid of it and sell Buddhism. (it rather is strange, i understand)...and then the two religions style of melded mutually.

I'm Australian, of English descent, I was baptised as a baby because of my family's beliefs so now i'm an Anglican Christian. In my country there is no pressure to follow a religion so I can think for myself and discontinue any form of worship. I can feel free to say what I feel about the contradictory burden that is religion without any fear of repercussion (unlike the Egyptian man who was jailed for insulting Islam).
