TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Robert Frost (1874–1963). Mountain Interval. 1920.

People like you and I, though mortal of course like everyone else, do not grow old no matter how long we live...[We] never cease to stand like curious children before the great mystery into which we were born.

instead of the literal bible text where everything revolves around the earth, what happened?

I can tell you what happened:
- Galileo went to jail/house arrest
- the church accepted the heliocentric view (albeit 100 years later)
- Believers KEPT RIGHT ON BELIEVING
- Nothing really changed for christianity

See? Your faith and church didn't crumble because science proved the bible wrong. The very fact that you are a christian today attests to that.

So why fight evolution tooth and nail? It makes you look like fools and it is a losing battle.

Nothing will change when you accept evolution, except there won't be so much snickering from our (heathen, atheistic) side.

note: I realise not every christian is ignorant enough to deny evolution. But you should really educate your brethren.

Why should a people, who believe in democracy and the rights of the populace, consign its power to a hubristic deity?

Didn't we fight a revolution to avoid such dictatorial leadership?

By its nature, is Christianity anti-democracy?

Dreams are considered to be prophetic. It has been said that dreams are conversations with ourselves or doorways to other worlds.

First I am an Atheist,

Second, from Leviticus 15:16-18
And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even. And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even. The woman also with whom man shall lie with seed of copulation, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the even.
(KJV)

Third, my question is, if a man goes to an Adult book shop, and goes into the back where they have those video booths, and he puts in a few dollars, and gets his seed of copulation on the television screen, has the television screen become defiled in sin?

It all went to hell in a handbasket when he started answering people's prayers and gave them what they want, right?

How about if he'd ignored every single prayer - some of the things people asked for would have happened by chance, others would have had to accept that god had 'other plans' or worked in mysterious ways. Those who wanted answers would have come up with them on their own and thanks god for the 'advice'.

Given that the most sensible thing to do was nothing at all - god might as well not bother existing. What does this say about religion?

He told me that I hate Muslims and Christians or Jews or Sikhs or any other religions. My question is shall we take it seriously? Since he works with us. Yet he potrays himself as the most devoted and religious person. Second thing does the Hinduism teach this kind of thing? I am sure no will be the answer. And he is Kashtarya.

I was born in the Catholic Faith, but I do not slam any other religions ! As in anything else there are good people and then there are bad people taking everything to the extreme ! We all need something to believe in, so why hate mails or just being plain mean ? I do not push my religion on anybody and we should all do the same. Live and Let Live !
