You can do all the good you can humanly do today, and this question was a very good start. Thank you.
I'm going to deal with the arguing that has been going on between my two sons, and teaching them how to consider a few things that might make them stop taking each other for granted. In other words, I am promoting love today.

If you are human I imagine any good you do today will be done humanly. It's a good thing to strive for though.

Call or talk to your parents and tell them you love them .pray for the sick and afflicted . Help a elderly neighbor,If you don't know your neighbors go introduce your self and tell them if they ever need help give you a shout .Smile at every one you see ,It gives you both a great feeling .Help some one on line that is lost . Read the Bible so you always know what to say or where to direct .

Some times we are certain that we are capable of doing the works of God or works that will please God. Jesus directs us to the gift of God that can be obtained only by faith in him. We are saved by the grace of God and believing with all our heart and soul in his Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus is our personal Lord and Savior! This belief will lead to the removal of our shortcomings!
This is the only method available on earth to become 'good' and do 'good' Try it ! You will like it!
