Naw...God doesn't create problems...He solves them. If you're a Christian, you're belief is that God sent His only Son to die for your sins, so that you (we) can be redeemed. I'd say a pretty hefty gift He's given us.
Look. You either believe or you don't believe. People/nations make their own problems. Our job is to do the best we can with our own situations. We solve problems, help ourselves and each other the best we can.
Then, we hope we've done the best we can. We hope that whatever "higher power" we believe in is really there to go on to when we leave this life.
Everyone needs something/someone to believe in to get them through life.
I hope you find yours.

When god is the reason for people to fight then i think we don't really need them.
But when god brings people together and makes them love each other then believing in him doesn't do any harm.
Yes god it was/is overrated because people died and killed in god's name.
God is overrated because sometimes people refuse to deal with the problems and they wait for divine solutions and because is being blamed for people problems when convenient

God is real. I beleive if you read the Bible through, you will beleive too. Lots of people have trtied to prove there is no such thing. But, in many instances they have only proven he is alive and well. I hope you will decide to do some serious study in the Bible, and I think you will see this too. Good luck, and best wishes.

* The bible says there is only one faith, one church, so I see the reason as stated in the bible. If there is only one, then everyone else is hell bound. The bible says as much.
The bible also says to live life in such a way people will see your good works and glorify God. I don't se this among believers.
I used to be a Christian so i know how good it can feel to believe in God, i also know the heavey burdon it can be to have to defend the trugh from denominationalists who say any church that calims there is only one fiath is a cult, but they fail to read Ephesians 4;4,5,6
I am now pagan and I know how good it feels to be tolorant and accepting and to honor mother earth and to know there are other Gods and Goddesses out there.*

no - not cause im some bible basher - but because if there is a god then he/she/it created the whole universe from the tiniest particle to the biggest planet and everything in between, time, space, physics, gravity etc, etc.
such an entity could never be overrated - we couldnt possibly even comprehend its level of intelligence / power.

That might be true, but what would be the negative effects of that? I don't think it would change much. The leaders who sponsor the religion-based violence today all use religion to justify their aims. Religion is being misused by them. Thus, if people didn't believe in God, they would just use other rational thinking to justify their actions.

God has caused exactly zero problems in human history.
His fan club, on the other hand, is quite nuts.

I would rather live my life as if there were a God and die to find out there wasn't than to live my life as though there were no God and die to find out there is.
Just think about that when, you ? God.
