Religion & Spirituality - 20 February 2007

I'm starting to feel like it is because the only answers that were ever rejected by yahoo coming from me, were the ones that attacked their church. No other religious group who were treated in the same manner were ever rejected and not to mention that "imacatholic2" has been sitting there for months as top religion & spirituality answerer.

My husband and I have taken our two small children to church in the past, and they loved it totally. But now, in the last 6 months, my husband's schedule changed at work, and works on Sundays. I want to take the kids to church, but want him to be there with me as well, because I believe this is family oriented. He never has a set time that he gets off of work in the evenings, and this holds true for Wedensday's as well, so going to church on Wednesdays would be difficult. We have had Jehovah's Witnesses come to our door several times, but would rather go to church, seeing as how we are Baptist. Any ideas?

Now that the so called translators of The New World Translation of the bible, Fred Franz, Nathan Knorr have been found to have only two years studying Greek at the cincinnatti university between them, so therefore not qualified to do such a translation isnt it time that you came to your senses and got out of thi fraudulant organisation.

Why in your minds if scientist figures out how to do one or more of miracles mentioned in the Bible;why must science disprove that the stuff in the were miracles.

Using the definition of anything done by God that the current society of people didnt know how to do or reproduce.

The things Jesus did were miracles,cuase people didnt know how to do that stuff, or do it the way Jesus did.

Evan if the society back then knew how to make water into wine;they didnt know how to make it the way Jesus did.He didnt have herbs,fruits,flavoring or anything.Just faith in God,and the water turned to wine.

So again,why must advancing science disprove the miracles Jesus did?

Maybe cuas now that we do know how to do some of the stuff,we take it for granted?And dont realize how magnificent&spectacular God has made the universe?

Does anybody else feel that amegeddon is approaching? Maybe not in this lifetime, but soon. Saint Bernadette I believe it was, said they're are things that will happen before his return, one of which being many evils and horrible plagues upon the earth. Like fighting over oil, and a horrible hurricane season, and tsunami's killing so many people, and earth quakes. It's just the beginning. It may take another 50 years or so but the way this world is going now, god won't let it last like this too much longer. He won't allow these things to continue like this for very long. People are just too evil these days.

There is no where in the Bible that directly states that masturbation is a sin . Also, masturbation dos not hurt anyone in any which way. In fact, it is a way of relieving tension. The Catholic Church considers it to be a mortal sin becuase it makes you lust, whcih is a form of adultery. However, this is the Church's point of view, and not directly from the Bbile. So is it really a severe sin?

With many of your answers to my question, 'What then is your definition of the term . . .Christian, I am well pleased. You show a great knowledge of the Christian beatitudes that Jesus taught. Did Jesus say to us, go out and wage war in my name, or do people wage bloody wars in the name of the 'religion' called Christianity? Which do we see coming from the White House? You don't have it now and you're doing just fine. God could make a world with no evil and no free will, but make you think that you have free will. What would be wrong with that? We'd be happy and think we were free too.
