TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

What a beautiful poem. Did he write the poem about ..I used to be a swinger of birches also?
I definitely take the road less traveled. My mother used to tell me that my faults and tragedies in my life built character.
I am a Christian that believes in Capital punishment, free choice concerning abortion and freedom through military victory.
I reread the poem and I feel peaceful.
I am now going to go to the library with my children and check out a book on Robert Frost!! I may look into other Authors on poetry also. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Yes because a road that has had many pass upon it will be less likely to surprise or be as it once was. Better to travel the road less taken if only for a glimpse at what might be.

Taking the road less traveled has truly made all the difference in the world....and because of that I've been able to see the world (in a Christian Drama Ministry)
