I think alot of people have been tied up with material things and the way our society is going today, and just simply cannot imagine life WITH God in their lives... That could be a good reason right there. We should all love God and ask his forgiveness and TRY to live our lives by him, because what is life without faith?

I think in some people it has died. For me My love for God keeps growing every single second of the day. I think some people forget their first true love for him. .

Only for those who don't have a psychological need for it.

Once your life is filled with sentient creatures that love you, and you love them, and you're working hard to find happiness, and finding it, it's amazing how quickly that need to love God and be loved by God goes away. Once you've realized that everything you need is right here on Earth and all you have to do is find it, religious faith vanishes. You're left with this beautiful world, everything in it, and a lot of people who need love but are looking up to find it instead of looking around.

I never had it.

I was interested in the notion of god and angels and an afterlife once but I got older, I learned more about the universe and I realised the whole god hypothesis was worthless.

Worse than that, its intellectually lazy to posit that a sky-fairy is responsible for all we don't understand.

One needs but to ponder a blade of grass. The possibility is ever present.

you know what..i think it has..people are afraid to believe in something that they cannot see with their eyes..there has to be proof of what you believe in order for others to believe that it is real.....i'm really starting to build up my love for god again..it's hard to have faith in the unseen but it's not impossible

It was never there to begin with. Christians don't "love" God. They are just trying to save themselves from eternal suffering.
