Why should a people, who believe in democracy and the rights of the populace, consign its power to a hubristic deity?

Didn't we fight a revolution to avoid such dictatorial leadership?

By its nature, is Christianity anti-democracy?

A great question! Sadly I can't say by its nature christianity IS anti-democracy only because this whole country is christian and well therefore the majority rules. I can say without a doubt though, that it forces itself on others. We now live in a society where our laws are based on the bible. I wonder how people in the midwest would start to feel if we forced them to live their life by the Qu'ran. Do you think they would start to grasp that making laws and forcing everyone to live by holy laws is wrong? Hmm maybe I'll ask this question.

Not as long as it's a democratically elected theocracy.

Look what wonderful things come of such a thing in, oh, say... Iran.

No...

Christianity is ascribing all power and authority to the Person that it rightfully belongs to....the Creator.

He made us in His own image....and saved us by His blood....

Don't you think we owe Him our lives and full submission?
