Don't they realize that while they are celebrating, for example, a good business deal, some child living in a 3rd world country that works as a laborer for that company is working 18 hours/ day to keep food on their table?

Say in sports, the winning team always contributes the victory to God, but what about the losing team? You never hear, "God made us lose the game" or "God made me fumble..."

What if the same guy who thanks God for sparing his trailer from the tornado is standing next to the guy that lost his?

People claim that god saved them from cancer, that god blessed them with a beautiful child, that god let them pass math class, and that god made them rich.

But they never question why the doctor that saved them from cancer had to die from chemical overexposure, why people are born with deformities, why there are countries with increasing suicide rates, or why hundreds of children starve to death every day....

I would like to know, from a catholic, what gives them the right to refuse someone communion? I recently attended a catholic mass. I am a christian and have recieved communion many times. When I got to the front the priest asked if I was catholic I said no. He then refused to give me communion. Do you think that was right or fair?

I dont know how to feel about Jesus I believe he was a man who did great things. Not born of God but none the less had a connection with him. He was supposed to be the messiah but choose the path of love and of the bride-groom instead of over throwing the government. and because he choose to be a husband and father. He was ratted out for not doing what was expected of him and killed.

What do you think?

this is a serious question is reality an illusion? ok when your having a dream and you touch something in your dream it feels real doesn't it when you fly in your dreams it really feels like your in the air when you fall down it actually felt like you fell a long distance and you hit the ground let me give an example
i was having a dream about me being in a really dark place like it was night i was walking down the sidewalk and i saw this girl on her knees and i never saw this girl my mind must of just made her up in the dream anyways there she was i was walking toward her and i don't know why i did these but i unzipped my pants and i took out my "meat microphone" and she grabbed it and started sucking it and i actually felt the pleasure it must have been from my pervertions but that was weird and then after a few months i saw a girl that looked like her and i swear it was the same one

now you cannot count some dreams that actually happened de ja vu tell me your experiences

God asserts his power and authority in the way one would expect to hear from a king. It seems no different than Caesar, Henry VIII, or George III.

"Behold I am against you, Pharoah king of Egypt." Ezek. 29:3

"You shall love the LORD your God, and keep his charge, his statutes, his ordinances and his commandments always." Deut.11:1

"I will gather a remnant of Israel." Micah 2:12

And Jesus spoke repeatedly of "The Kingdom of God."

Etc.

What makes God's statements different from a celestial monarch, a simple head of state?

Since we are now living a democracy, what relevance does kingship have? We choose our own leaders now. What relevance can a desert, monarchist religion have in the present age?

Given the fact that we learn far more from the times we scrape our knees then when things go our way isn't Heaven just eternal stagnation?

If Heaven is all about feeding God's narcisstic ego and not about personal growth. That personal growth stops what then is the point of even wanting to be there?
I've had Girl friends that were so insecure that they needed validation all the time. THEY DROVE ME NUTS! I can't imagfine a God that is worse then they were!
I'D WANT TO SLAP HIM WITHIN FIVE MINUTES OF IT!!

Someone has left two piles of sticks on two seperate days on my front porch. This is such a strange thing to occur I thought I would ask if anyone on here knows if they have any kind of meaning both good or bad.

Has anyone hear about human babies being born with tails? I heard its a form of atavism bringing out ancestral characteristics. I read in the newspaper the other day. Do you think this strengthens evolutions argument of our origins?

The story of God was created centuries ago, by extremely unintelliegent people. They didn't have the science, or the technology that we have today. But they still asked the same question. "How did we get here?" So, they came up with the most logical answer, for that time period. God. If I was living in that time period, I'd be saying, "That's brilliant!". But with the knowledge that we have, this day in age, its quite a (for lack of a nicer word) idiotic idea.
The "God" answer does not work anymore.....not in this time period. Since the discovery of so many scientific facts and theories, we have practically disproved completely that the universe was created by a God or higher power.
My question is, if people can actually believe that an invisible deity created the universe and has a book written about him by some guy centuries ago, why is it so hard for them to believe scientific theories that have supportive evidence?

There are lots and lots of established paths in Wicca alone, not to mention all of Paganism. And none of them seem more valid than any of the others, except to their followers.

So is it a correct assumption that anyone can really begin their own path and someday see it listed on a "Paths Of Wicca" website? If it grows and takes off, then so be it. If not, better luck next time?

I want to be a better christian and stop being so depressed and enjoy my life. Any guidelines to being a good christian for teenagers? Other than the ten commandments. I just want to be closer to god and I need to know how to stop misbehaving when I'm around my friends.

In high school, i became close with one of my teachers, and so it only seemed natural to continue the frienship when i graduated. At first, she was very nice, but then my curiosity about faith led her to invite me to one of their christian meetings. I went there, met her husband, also a devout christian, and loved it, so when they asked me to accept christ as my saviour(this being my first time with religion at all), I did. After that, our friendship felt less and less like a friendship, and more like a christian conversion. It seems that is my only reason to talk to them now. Are they still my friends? and if so, am i part of their bigger scheme to be in god's good graces, or do they truly consider me a friend? And lastly, how should i approach this relationship now? Thanks, help would be much appreciated.

After all keep in mind that the God of the bible does this over and over again!

Do you think that someone that is threatened with violence / suffering can honestly love the one that is making such threats?
If true love can not be attained in this way why then does the bible God insist on using this method?

Can you honestly say you would love someone that threatened to hurt you if you didn't love them to their satisfaction?
If you can't love a human that is like that how can you honestly say you can love a God that is that same way?
