These people who are very religious, they talk about love love love and accepting ect, but they act as if they're following a set of rules and not really a relationship. Like... they verbally abuse people who wonder if they're gay. I don't think these are the acts of love, but can't say humans can be perfect. Are they still considered "real christians?" because if yes, I am shocked. So how should a real christian act?

If you were offered 10 million dollars to place the number 666 on your hand or forehead would you take it?

The number would be so tiny no one would notice it.

Yes or No?

Don't make it complicated...just a straight deal, yes or no?

It seems that by partaking of the forbidden fruit, Adam and Eve actually did an altruistic act that allowed mankind to come forth and be born, and to learn to live by faith, overcome hardship, etc. Otherwise, Adam and Eve would have gone about their merry way not knowing good from evil, pleasure from pain, and so forth.

Freewill is a popular idea among Christians but the word is NOT in the New Testament. What is in the bible is Predestination!

Romans 8:29 - 30 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

&

Ephesians 1:4 - 5 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

How do you figure you have freewill to make your own choices if your bible says you were predestined to this?

Seems to me like freewill is a delusion that we can only be what this God created us to be! Romans 9:21 - 23

I was looking for a way to join scientology without joining the church, which I think has at least been corrupted. I believe that dianetics is beneficial. Every scientologist admits that it had helped them. It wasnt untill they were involved for a long time before they started seeing cult like behavior from the people they worked with, which makes me believe that the church's followers are corrupt, not the Idea of dianetics. Free Zone offers free material on auditing and reliable resourses for help. I find it interesting and beneficial, check it out and let me know what you think, or your ideas on independent Scientology. thanks

I knew I could get your attention...

I mean, what's so bad about it? It was never intended to prove God exists, nor does it present evidence to do so. It just provides a different way of seeing things. Why do you mock it so much for being a 'poor arguement'?

It's not supposed to be an arguement.

You see relgious types going on about Modesty and piety and purity and how bad sex outside marriage is etc.

But anyone ever noticed how the more open and relaxed about sex and nudity a community, country or subculture is.

The more peaceful, caring, community like it is, often with less pregnancies (like in Europe)

http://www.advocatesforyouth.org/publications/factsheet/fsest.htm

http://www.metro.co.uk/news/article.html?in_article_id=23423&in_page_id=34

These show that STDs and teen pregnancies are hihest in relgious anti sexaulity and anti gay communities and countires.

Likewise say compare the Netherlands with Northern Ireland or Iraq, or Afganistan or much of Africa.

Which is the most violent or abusive towards woemn in anti women laws like not beign able to drive, walkaround etc.

And counries that give equal rights to gays and gays themselves being more peacful

Compare hippies/swingers with the christian inquision or taliban etc
