A REAL Christian is not someone who goes to church every Sunday and sits in thier seat thinking about something else or who is just there for social reasons. A REAL Christian is someone who is there for GOD to praise God and to worship God. They want to learn more about him. I am personally Pennicostal and we are a "crazier" church to most other's standards. We jump and run when we are touched by the Holy Spirit, but you must understand it is NOT simply to be "crazy", but because we can not controll it we almost have to do it. If you come to my church and do this (when not faking it) that would be an example of a REAL Christian. Also, being baptized and repenting your sins is another charictaristic of a REAL Christian.
Just for the record I am a REAL Christian.

For you to ask that question, you must not understand what a Christian is. It's not that we boast in ourselves, but in the One who saved us. That would be Jesus Christ(the Anointed One). So, Christ means the Anointed One and if we call ourselves Christians, we have been adopted into that anointing. If that makes me a nut, then I am an anointed nut.

Most people I've met who claim to be "Christian" have no clue what they're talking about. The people who seem to know the MOST about Christianity are the non-Christians, because they actually researched and learned when they decided to choose a different path. Most Christians are Christians because that's how they were raised and don't even know what being a Christian means.

Yes, I'm certainly no religious nut! Please don't start people talking about "real" Christians and the other kind of Christians! :-)

Religious Empires would consider me to be a nut.
I consider myself a self-read Christian.
I try to live my life by reading the exact quotes of Jesus in the Bible. I am suspicious of all other verses in the Bible.
For example:
Jesus said, "If you do not forgive others, your father in Heaven will not forgive you."
This is the clearest verse in the Bible. But, it very difficult to forgive someone who has hurt you. Jesus indicated that we must born again into a justice system that results in that we feel we have no right to hold a grudge or seek revenge.

I am a cultural Catholic, i.e., one who likes the rituals and liturgies, but doesn't buy every dogma. However, on many days I am also an agnostic, because I feel that there simply cannot be any certainty about the existence of a higher power. Besides, faith is not about certainty -- to believe means to not know.
