Why do I have a pair of nipples? They are obsolete. And why does my canine (who's a male pit bull) have 10 nipples?

This may well be your best answer, I have heard of this on a medical radio program, years ago, and now found it online. Ditto for the canine and feline.

First, the species includes both the male and the female.
The fetus of each develops in the womb with no specific sexual identity until well into development. The male genitalia develop in the male long after the nipples develop in both.

In the adult male, the dormant glands can still be revived by a sufficient dose of estrogen, maybe we are evolving into the dawn of the truly liberated household. =D

Because the default is female; even XY embryos develop into females if they aren't immersed in the right hormones at the right time.
By the way, male is not a different species.

We all start out as females in the primitive stage of development. If we have female DNA, the rest of the "gear" develops. If we have male DNA, it does not, and we go a different path. Hermaphrodites get caught in between.

.............? Are you usually this funny? Well, we are created by the Lord Jesus (Colossians 1:16). He is perfect in all His ways, therefore, it must be some reason for them. Do I know? No. Just like earlobes. I know that they are there for a reason but why, I don't know? But, that's all the more reason for us to praise God!
