I was looking at some questions about Kirk Cameron and I was wondering how- WHY DO SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT KIRK CAMERON IS A NUTCASE JUST BECAUSE HE TURNED RELIGIOUS!? God, some people are so rude...just to let you know..Kirk Cameron has the right to turn religious if he wants to. I am a fellow Christian myself and I believe what he says is the truth. I know many of you will start cursing and saying bad stuff about me, but I believe that you have your own opinion and I will respect that.
OK...start cursing at me...just because i am a Christian..Go on...

I have a question that I would like an Athiest to answere. I'm a Christian and I'm asking this in a respectfull way so please don't take this wrong, I'm just curious about what the other side believes. My question is, what is the Athiest belief of what happens to yourself when you die? Is that it and it's completely over-no afterlife? Reincarnation? Some kind of afterlife? And if you don't beleive in God then what do you live for? Thanks.

Sorry for the inflamatory question - but it tends to draw more responders...

Ive noticed something lately - not that this is a new phenomenon or anything... But, it has not escaped my attention that it seems that the poorest and least intelligent humans are the one's doing the majority of the procreating (no offense to those of you who arent poor or unintelligent!)

Can anyone explain why fundies tend to have larger families that non-religious people? Why rich folks have less children than poor folks? Why members of MENSA have less children than WalMart workers? Im seeing a coorelation between IQ and number of children - and Im wondering why that is. (I cant answer myself, for I am an Atheist with pretty much no desire for children....)

What sort of feelings, or experience did you have? I talked to this one person whom was a LDS and said she had seen everyone faintly flowing, and she felt a tremendous amount of love. I am wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience as she had.

what do you plan on doing with the land that was already owned by Jews? Something like %80 of the land that comprised the original Jewish state was already owned by Jews BEFORE the creation of Israel. Do they get to keep that land?

%50 of the Arabs now living in the refugee tents are not from, and are not descended from, anyone who ever lived in Israel or the occupied territories. Since they have no land claims, do they now leave?

Will Islam allow the Jews who remain access to the Western Wall?

I only ask because Jews were NOT given access to the Western Wall when they controlled Jeruslam.

By the way....I want to make sure I am clear about this....there should be a second Palestinian State. There were Palestinians that were treated unjustly and chased from their lands. Israel has not behaved perfectly. The attacks on Lebanon made no moral, strategic, or tactical sense. They were wrong. We are not perfect, and it's not a perfect situation.

Lately the media has been swamped with people who are into think and get rich ideas. Yet I notice, the people who say they visualize to attract large sums of money in 30-60 days, and did just that, were always people who already had money.

For instance, it was residual income from a business they own, inheritance from already wealthy relatives, etc etc????

I've yet to hear the single mom barely making $10 an hour, college student working part-time, or cashier who was recently fired from their minimum wage job sharing their success stories after they visualized to "attract" that $50,000, $100,000 , or more income in a couple of months?

I'm looking for evidence that Jesus was rejected or despised by men.

From what I could tell of the NT he was accepted and loved by everyone except the Pharises. He always seemed happy and never grieved, except when he found out God wanted to kill him of course....

ISAIAH Chapter 53 - The Arm of the Lord is revealed

1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

Well first off, I really son't know if atheists believe in a soul so answer that. But if you do, then how? You say that the universe was created from explosions and then those things were sreap around and formed over billions of years. So how could matter, which is a physical thing, creat something spiritual? Matter doesn't know how to make a human have a soul.

One more thing, in the beginning of time, you say that somehow stars and planets were just there. But how did they get there? Matter can'y just appear out of thin air. But now your saying, "ok, how coula God just appear. Well at the beginning of time God is the only sensible thing to have been there because something would of had to make the thing that exploded or the matter that formed.

Let's go back to the early christians. In 431 the Nestorians split off, and in 451 the Oriental Orthodox split off from the main branch. Then in the 11th century there was the Great Schism, and we have Roman Catholicism (in western rite and eastern rite flavour) and Eastern Orthodoxy. Reformation in the 16th century where the Protestants split off, and somewhere along the line that branched and added Anglicanism and Restorationism. And don't even get me started on the Adventists, Anabaptists, Baptists, Congregationalists, Lutherans, Methodists, Presbyterians, Reformed and Pentecostals, although I think they're all protestants or something.

I've seen some of you bicker with and pick on each other. How can you claim one faith? And how does this make the whole bible thing more likely? Shouldn't the word of God be unequivocal in its message and not open to such wide interpretation? Who is right?

If aliens come down to earth and talk to humans who tell them that the universe was created purely for them, won't the aliens be offended?

Genesis is about the making of one world - they didn't know there was more than one back then - now we have hundreds of billions of star systems - why can't we leave the silly superstition behind and come of age?

Predestination: Does God know what we are going to do?
If he does than how can you say we have free will?
He didn't know that Adam and Eve was going to sin.
Anymore than he knew the coverning cherb sent to take care of them would sin.
He told them if you eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and bad you will die.
Satan said, "No you won't really die at all" Well, we know they did die.
What about other cases where God chose people. Such as Saul the first king of Isreal.
1Samuel 8:16,17 God chose him to rule. 1Samuel 16:1 Where God rejects him as king.
then there was Solomon, 1Kings 3:3 they loved each other by 1Kings 11:9 he rejects him.
Matthew 24:13But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved.
So anytime during that time for bad conduct you can be not saved.
