I am a 17 year old girl and I am being water baptized. I will be Catholic. I don't know what to wear. Please help. Thanks.

I would wear white. Because if you read the link below and scroll down to white it says about how it means a successful beginning so by wearing white you will be showing how your starting a new beginning by being baptize. But of course you don't want to wear a to light of white because then it will become a see through shirt. Which wouldn't be very good... Well I hope this helps you make you decision.

You will be wearing a robe over your clothes, so it's okay to wear casual clothing, not necessary to wear nice clothes since they'll be covered anyway. Wear stuff that you won't mind getting wet, like a t-shirt and simple cotton pants. If there's a celebration afterward, bring something nicer to change into after the Mass is finished.

If you don't want to overdo it try a white top and black pants. If you will be coming into the Church on Holy Saturday, I would chose something nice to wear. It is not overly formal but most people do tend to dress up a little. Good luck and welcome to the Church.

Well since youre a 17 year old girl and not a 10 year old boy the priests wont be looking in your direction anyways lol so just wear a pair of jeans and some sort of shirt...Just dont make it a white shirt unless you want to give the audience a show LOL

Wear white, but make sure to wear a few layers on the top part of you so that if your top gets wet your bra won't be visible through the material.

It's unlikely to be by full immersion, so dress with an order of modesty, and preferrably white.

If you will be immerised, avoid wearing anything that is light color. A darker color t-shirt (if permit by your church) and a long pant might be a better choice.
