We are all aware of the effects that being a prisoner of war can have on the mind.. if someone were tortured (boiled in oil, for example) and exiled to live on an island in prison.. then wrote a book with a fantastic tale from a vision they'd had during an outer body experience.. would you believe it was a vision from God?

I was making biscuts and couldnt find my oven mits anywhere in the kitchen. I had to resort to running upstairs and grabbing a rag so I could pull them out of the oven.

Does god want me to sacrifice the pads of his fingers?

That tricky little guy.

Every question where a different belief system comes up (Hindu, Muslim, whatever) some brave soul will pop up and say "But Jesus is the only one that died for us!".

How is it a good sign if your god/man/mangod/son of god/whatever he was died? Dying gods is usually a bad sign.

....how is he responsible for any of the good things?

And how you can you say humanity has always had free will when there is dozens of examples in the Bible where God intervened.

Either God always stays away from Earth (which would prove the Bible wrong)

Or he chooses his spots, making him responsible for anything that happens on Earth. Either way really he is, we are his creation and he is responsible for our actions, like a parent and child.

I mean when we wiped out most of humanity in the Noah's Ark story, how bad was humanity that he doesn't do it today? Is it because we have Jesus now. But the Bible cleary states that God does not change his mind, so why would he go from active to a hands off approach.

None of make sense to me why would he kill Aaron's sons for "unauthorized fire" but not Hitler?

And for you "who am I to judge God" folks, I am the one he gave free will to remember. That's like saying a messed up kid is never the parents' fault, whenusuallyitis

For me, I was very afraid mostly of Wicca...but, I have since learned, that they are a gentle religion...and people need to learn more,..by reading and asking...not by assuming...because they assume wrong......I am still learning..but, I consider myself to be, "Multi-Spiritual" for now....but, I think that Wicca and Paganism, is pretty low key..The Pagans/ and or Wiccans do not worship the Devil...in any way what-so-ever..I can deal with that religion...too.(I also believe in God).

Why is that statement made in the *past tense*? Why would the all loving God place his creation into hell? I am told that sAtAn had a choice, just like I have a choice-well I chose to believe that sAtAn only had what God gave him, and if that was a choice than that very choice was also a creation of God. sAtAn wanted out; God would not allow his ego to let go of this, his creation. So actually what we are seeing in this battle between God and sAtAn is what religions call the war between good & evil. But how could something so good cast his creation into HELL? sAtAn appears to have seen through this thing called LOVE, and now is condemned for revealing Gods truth. The truth is that God now holds a gun to your head called HELL, and says follw me or be cast out. I felt no pain prior to being born, I have seen more than my fair share of suffering, agony, misery-and worse false hope. For God so Loved the world that he gave his only begotten son and burned the other one! Got a match?

Im 17 and work in a grocery store as a checker. I like to super glue quarters to the floor and watch people try to pick them up. Anyways, and old lady kept trying to pull the quarter off the floor and fell off and hurt her hip. She had to leave the store with the help of an ambulance. Should I tell my boss it was my fault because he is drilling everyone about it?

And if you're going to say one is right and the other is wrong (I suspect that when this happens, it will be the fundies saying that Liberal Christians are wrong), please explain your position LOGICALLY.

Thank you, and good luck answering. I look forward to reading them.

For example, how do christians who believe in evolution continue to be christian. If the bible is allegorical, why live the lifestyle? Or are parts of it true and parts allegorical? If so, how can you explain this? Doesn't rejecting the claims of genesis invalidate the rest of the text? If it's allegorical, then why not come up with rational reasons to behave civilly (there are many)?

If God exists I figure he can't be as stupid and pathetic as that guy in the bible - I think the only possible reason to create anything is to keep entertained. What if when you die you find out the only thing god's been interested in is how many meatballs you ate during your life - and the best places in heaven go to the people who've eaten the most and the golden number (of meatballs) is the only factor your judged on?

Any thoughts?

*theists - its no more sillier than what you believe*
