I'm a Christian & my husband was brought up that way, but is totally turned off by most Christians & thinks they are all a bunch of hypocrites. We all have our faults & yes even Christians make mistakes sometimes really bad ones. He's even told me that he thinks you don't have to believe in God necessarily, as long as you believe in something. You can believe in a tree or whatever. Is that tree gonna deliver you from your troubles? He bought a book about budda, zen, tao & is starting to get into it. It's scaring me a bit. I'm all for being positive and open minded, but it breaks my heart that he's starting to get into this crap. I don't think he gets that buddha isn't going to get him into heaven. This life on earth is only temporary, nothing here matters except having a relationship with Christ. Please help me find Christian points that debunk buddha, zen, tao, etc. Thank you & God Bless :o)

Christians dont give a Rats Butt what the Bible says about love and Homosexuals. They are just flat out prejudiced bigots against Homosexuals that's what it's all about. The same as they once were and many still are against blacks. Christians can use their book against anything they are prejudiced against. They dont really give a crap what it says.

- He is jealous, anytime you praise another man he's liable to kill you
- He has killed many people in the past
- He sets strict guidelines on how you may live
- He tells you that you are constantly doing wrong, in fact you were doing wrong the moment you were born
- He tells you life without him is hell
- He neglects many of his children
- He is racist, homophobic and sexist

Don't you want to love this man, and spend eternity with him?

I volunteered to get up sundays at 4AM to work at Burger King so I wouldn't have to go. What about you ex-worshippers? Can you top that?

don't you think that religion and policy should be separate totally?

if god exists, he should bless the entire world, the american enemies countries, too!

Why american patriotic songs and political speeches report always the sentence "God bless America" ?

Do you think that sometimes people get the words "opinionated" and "judgmental" confused? Do you think there's a difference?

No more strife, no sorrow, no death, no bad people, forever.
Does this sound really good to you?

If everything is good can you still appreciate the goodness after an eon or three? Or would you get used to it, like you do to everything else?

Just one of their sins?
Why not all of them?
Does this trasferrence of guilt ever apply to any other situations?
Could I, unknowingly, be guilty of the sins committed by Sho-Nuff too????

I am 16 years old, I go to a Catholic school. I am due to leave this June.
My parents are heavily religious, they make me go to church every week, they dont like my friends, they dont let me be on my own in case i "sin".
I get bullied at my school because I am not christian. I get mud thrown at me, I have abbuse from most students, and it just isnt fair.

I want my parents to understand I am not religious, i dont believe there is a god, i dont have any beliefs that they do.
I want them to know that i hate my school, I hate my life and everyone in it.

My dad tells me to shut up when i try and talk to him, he says that it isnt his problem.
My mu has spoken with the head teacher, nothing has changed. She still says i should go to church as it will make me behave,
but i dont need to believe in a man in the sky to behave, i have never drank alcohol, never smoked, never done drugs nothing like that. I do voluntary work, help neighbours out everything.

How can i make them listen

A girl whom I'm kinda related with is claimed by spirits from her family but she accepted Jesus instead of serving them. She'd get very sick in her period. The demons spoke through her everytime my brother would pray with her and He casted them in the name holy name of "jesus". She was in haiti then but now she's here. I just received a call from his father and he asked me to go pray with her because she's sick again now but I'm so afraid because I'm feeling weak now I don't know if I should take that risk. I used to feel the power of the holy spirit in me but now I don't think that I should pray with someone who's possessed by demons.

If God speaks to me through u now about this matter just tell me something you wouldn't know abt me so I could believe it's from God. Thank You!!

Hi, i just read this article by a famous lightworker called Doreen Virtue. She talks about hoe over the past several years there has been a comsic announcement or something like someone telling all the lightworkers to wake up and start doing their job. She mentions that a woman phoned her up and asked her if she was going insane because this voice told her to do something to do with healing, but Doreen said she wasnt because she had had the same encounter.
i have heard this voice call my name a few times as i am about to go to sleep but then it goes away, it only gets as far as "Steph". has anyone else had this sort of experience?
No harsh comments please as i feel as insane as it is...
:(

Why are Atheists so afraid of God and so intimidated by religion? Why can they talk trash about sex, drugs, drinking, the media--stuff that we Christians find offensive--and then when we talk about our faith, they totally blow up at us!? I don't understand. I mean, have they not heard of freedom of speech? And freedom of religion? I'm so confused--does anyone have the answers?

How frequently do you experience an epiphany or something profound that reinforces your current religious belief system? And does it ever occur directly because of what you've read out here?

Personally, I just had one after thinking about Pascal's Wager which I promptly blogged for posterity.

Hows about you?

Terrorist.

1. a person, usually a member of a group, who uses or advocates terrorism.
2. a person who terrorizes or frightens others.

(Taken from Dictionary.com)

Basicly, a terrorist is a person who terrorize people, who spread terror and instil fear in our hearts. So, according to this definition, who are the real terrorists?

Muslims?

Are you kidding? The same Muslims that tells me Assalamualaikum? You do know what it means right? It means "Peace be upon you." How can someone whose saying peace be upon me is spreading fear?

Okay, now let's try this again....

Religious fundamentalists.

They threat you with Hell, now doesn't that qualify them to be terrorists already?

The Anti-(insert belief here).

Doesn't matter if it's anti-atheists, anti-christians, anti-muslims, anti-catholics or any other anti's, the common trait between them is they spread lies and propaganda, they teach us to FEAR. Terrorists? Definitely.

What do you think?
