No more strife, no sorrow, no death, no bad people, forever.
Does this sound really good to you?
If everything is good can you still appreciate the goodness after an eon or three? Or would you get used to it, like you do to everything else?

I love all your answers. Also, somebody said "You are thinking only one-demensional". That is beautiful.

Not quite, my friend
You can use the afterlife properly, by learning and studying, strengthening your knowledge. You will always forget stuff, but eternity will give you time to review and study them again.
Knowledge is infinite.
*Hey, I don't believe there is one, giving me thumbsdowns doesn't make sense*

Oh yes, eternity would get infinitively boring. That's why I don't want to live forever. I wouldn't mind there being an afterlife like in Norse mythology, but all good things must come to an end.
Imagine the horror of this vast desert of eternity if you were immortal. How long do you think it will take before eternity becomes dull and boring? What happens after you have learned everything there is to learn and have had experienced all there is to experience? Then what? There is only a finite amount of those things and eternity is infinite. No meaningful form of consciousness could exist forever under these conditions. Eventually, if we don't have a continually challenging and diverse environment, we will die, yet if you were immortal cannot die.

No, not even the greatest {GOD}ever could be completely satisfied with his own heaven, that is why a new testament was created for just that sole purpose. So that the most beloved son of the {FATHER}in the greatest of all the heavens could know divine suffering as a way to balance his enternal perfection, forever more.

Until I put my glasses back on, I thought the question was "Does the afterlife every get bongs?"
Sorry. My bad. That's why I had to put the ol' specs back on.
This is a great, metaphysical question that I do not have the answer for.

The "afterlife" *can't* get boring, because there is no such thing.
You know what does get boring? All of the energy superstitious religious people put into speculating about the mythical "afterlife." If they'd put half of that energy into doing something here in THIS life, the world would be a much better place.
Peace.

If theres shuttlecocks in heaven, I'll be set forever.
But I'll probably just end up as ashes thrown in to the ocean or something cliche and realistic like that.

No, you will have so many things to learn on the other side so you can decide if you wish to return for your next life. Think about it. Every single answer to every single question you have ever had will be answered! That could take a very long time!

I think the ability to get bored will pass away, too. The new existence will forever be as interesting as a new love affair--at least, I hope so!

Does it ever get boring? Not a chance!
You can keep your murderers, cheaters, liars, rapists, pedophiles, and various other sinners in hell if you so choose! I'm going to a better place!
