To share my knowledge and to clear up any misconceptions. that is why Y!A was formed.

Only the Holy Spirit can convert people.

I come here because I can. I do care about all others, whether they share my beliefs or not and it isn't a matter of searching for converts. My best friend is an atheist, I know I can't change her, it would take an act of God for her to change. There are people who are in church every week and don't have salvation. Every where I go and everything I say I hope that it will help someone or be of use to someone. And yes my ultimate goal is to hopefully lead someone to the lord, but that is in God's hands. If I could force people to change their beliefs, yeah, I would, but I know that I can't so why bother. I save my anointing for those who will receive it. It is not about glorifying myself because if anyone here were to give their lives to the lord there is a good chance that I would never know about it. Why do non-believers come here? Are we supposed to act like outcasts just because we believe in God. What is it that non-believers find so offensive about Christians. Yes, some Christians are a little pushy, but not all of us. There are differences in all groups of people everywhere.

There are a few genuine seekers entering here... they ask legitimate questions... most all leave very quickly when they see that this is not a true place of seeking... It is my hope that I can connect with one now and then and provide an honest answer. I offer the honest seeker an alternative, if they wish to continue the communication via email...
I have no interest in "converting" to any other "belief"... If a seeker asks about my Faith I respond honestly... if they have a question concerning the basics I answer honestly... if they are of another faith and only want some information I answer honestly... if I am asked questions concerning converting to my Faith I answer honestly... Only God can "convert" any one to The True Christian Faith... all I can do is try to provide the truth amidst the turmoil and garbage spewed to frequently here.... if they want to convert and God accepts then that is between them and God and not my doing.

Of course Christians care about those of other beliefs. As far as what we hope to accomplish...establish hope, faith, maybe a tiny question in someone's mind that will make them question more...
What other religion in the world did God sacrifice as much as He did for His people?
No, conversion is an internal thing. We can't do it on this venue. It takes the willingness of the individual and the act of the Holy Spirit.

I come here because I want to learn about others beliefs, yes I do care about them. I also feel the need at times to put forth the truth of my own beliefs when I see correction needed because of a lack of truth about what is sometimes said. I am not in search of converts, I search for truth.

Originally, I came here to have the experience.
I continue (kind of) for 2 reasons.
1- To provide some decent info, if possible.
2- To stand aghast at some people's frail knowledge of Biblical matters.

I'm here to learn about religions that I don't know much about and to share answers about Catholicism to clarify misconceptions. Not interested in converting or convincing anyone - just an exchange of information.

I love people. I grow in understanding of how others think. I get challenged with new ideas and measure where the Bible stacks up to it and see what I truly believe in particular issues I may never have thought of.

And I pray a lot ...for my brothers and sisters I see on here, either struggling or growing in their faith; for people that seem lost or are depressed; for people that are just mean which makes me sad.

Praising God for each of you that He knows intimately.

...And I laugh a lot... funny comments, funny jokes... wondering who the people are behind the clever thoughts.

To picque interest. To show that there is not really all that much different between christians and non-christians - except Christ of course.

And to have some fun. This is not a good forum to witness to people. Too ineffective.

I come to Answers to share my knowledge and read others views about different questions. I do not wish to convert anyone.
