Im 17 and work in a grocery store as a checker. I like to super glue quarters to the floor and watch people try to pick them up. Anyways, and old lady kept trying to pull the quarter off the floor and fell off and hurt her hip. She had to leave the store with the help of an ambulance. Should I tell my boss it was my fault because he is drilling everyone about it?

Yes. Confess your stupidity and NEVER DO IT AGAIN. He is going to have to pay when she sues the store. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!! You will be luck if he doesn't fire you. I understand that you are young and don't know any better. Maybe this will teach you a lesson.

This is not funny. I think you are a real jerk, or maybe just stupid. Do you realize what it means when an old person breaks a hip? Sometimes they die. And their life will never be the same if they live. They are not like you. If you break a bone it heals. You have distroyed this woman's life. I know I am being harsh on you, but you need to learn the facts. It is a very serious thing for an old woman to break a hip. I had a male friend age 76 break a hip and his life as he knew it is over. He can not go or do anything that he use to do now. I took him to the movies and he used a walker and was in pain with each step. He had his whole hip replaced.

Please, please, please, THINK before you do something like this again.

You need to tell your boss that you glued the quarter to the floor. However, her falling over is not your fault as she needs to take the responsibility for that. If I am trying to get something off of the floor and I fall then I certainly can not blame anyone but myself, regardless of what is on the floor or glued to it.

You probably should fess up. You'll probably be fired, but you really blew it. If you wanted to avoid the big scene, you could give your boss a note and include with it your resignation.

The best way is to confess and give him your resignation at the same time. If he likes you he'll let you stay anyway and tell you it's not that bad. If he doesn't like you, well...

Be courageous and stand up for your mistake. They will soon find out. What could it be better than hearing it from the joker.

Yep. First, I would advise repenting to God and asking for forgivenenss. Then talk to your boss privately. Everyone else could end up paying the price for your antics.

Honesty is the best policy....but be prepared to get fired or not being able to work for a certain period of time...

I have seen that happen before and it is so funny...until someone does get hurt...

Good luck to you!
