It is a necessary part of the cycle of life. All that lives must die. Now what happens to the energy contained in the living being after it dies is questionable; it is possible the sum of chemical energy from a dead body is equal to the chemical and electrical energy of a living one (thus we change through death to earth itself, in a sense). It is possible the holographic awareness we might call "soul" would also be part of that energy and would pass on to the next unknown step in the cycle of life. This could be "heaven" or "eternity" or even Earthly rebirth, but I think it is clear just from looking at life on Earth as it appears to us, that death is necessary to keep life going. At the very least, it is a transformation, and that transformation is essential.

Death is a concept, a great lie, no one ever really dies we move on other forms or realize our soul along the way.... when our life ends in this form I don't know where I'll go but I do know I will go on, think of it this way in most faiths it is believed you will either go to heaven or hell for all of eternity or you will be born into countless forms of life, if that is the case this life lets say our life right now is 100 years, next to eternity it is nothing, it doesn't even exist, so how can that be if i am sitting here typing, yes most of us fear it because we don't know what is going to happen but to truly understand its mean you must discover the part of your self that lives for ever and only you can do tha for yourself my friend.

It's the ultimate punishment for mans' sin, as God had ordained in His word. If this was a perfect world, there would be no death, just as there wouldn't be any diseases, sickness, pain, sorrow, pestilences, etc. Read the book of Genesis - it explains the reason for death. For a born again Christian, it is the end of their bondage of sin and the beginning of a new life with Christ in heaven. For the unsaved, it is eternal damnation in hell.

It means you are dead. No life, no thought, no afterlife, no spirit, no soul, your body starts to decay and return to the Earth. Death is the end of all things, no going back. Have a nice day.
