What sort of feelings, or experience did you have? I talked to this one person whom was a LDS and said she had seen everyone faintly flowing, and she felt a tremendous amount of love. I am wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience as she had.

Serpent,
Doh! I am a bit tired and goofed up on that question. Thanks for pointing that out. It should have read for those that remember their baptism.

I believe that you do not get baptised until you have personal decided to follow Jesus, so naturally I remember my baptism because it was my choice.
I remember being a little nervous because I went before the whole church and everyone was watching me. Then when it came down to it I felt very peaceful, excited, and joyful. I couldn't stop smiling. I had a great feeling of being in God's will.

I am 26 so my baptism was 18 years ago. I remember how excited I was and how happy I was to get my own set of scriptures (which was what the Ward gave to a newly baptized member)...
I remember going down into the font, being immersed, coming up and just feeling overwhelmed almost with how happy my parents and family were for me. I strongly suggest to anyone getting baptized or having a child getting baptized, write down your feelings in your journal or have your child express their feelings. It will be special and you can read it often to remember!

Backpacking in Yosemite National Forest we found a running brook. Deep blue skies and a warm spring day. As I gave my testimony, little fish were dashing around my legs. As I came up the sparkles from the sun on the water seemed to be a little bit brighter...
I thought of Christ's baptism into death... and life ...

When I was baptized I felt really, really cold because the water was like ice (I was baptized in a river). Then Jesus spoke to me (inner locution, look it up) and joked that the water in the river Jordan was pretty darn cold for Him as well. It was funny and I laughed.
I didn't notice any flowing or tremendous amounts of love or anything like that...

I was baptized at a young age, before I understood. I was cold and my mom was happy :). My daughter was baptized in the Holy Spirit at the age of 16, her choice. :) My son was baptized 2 yrs ago at the age of 21, by his choice alone! I had prayed for his choice for a long time because he seemed lost. It was a very positive emotional experience and I thank the Lord everyday, my children know Him.

I too am LDS and remember feeling at one with the Lord and clean beyond anything I had previously experienced. I was baptised at 28yrs by my good friend, Sean, who was the Bishop at the time.
I have since baptised my eldest daughter, and felt similarly when performing that sacred ordinance for her.

I was hyper, but what else would you expect from an 8 year old? When i watched my friends get baptized last year, it was so moving. they couldn't stand up because their legs were too weak, they couldn't stop shaking, they were shouting praises... it was something that i had never seen before so it took me off guard what their reactions were. but with me, it took 7 years before I understood the feeling of being saved.
by the way, baptisim isnt salvation, its a picture of salvation. You get saved before you get baptized.
