Not really anymore, yet it is still practiced, it is no longer needed. GOD never intended for there to be sacrifices like that, but it was the only way for man to get back in right standing with GOD before Jesus came along. Jesus gave himself as a sacrifice, so that we may have eternal life in heaven. So I guess in that sense it's still believed in

"Take your son, your only son – yes, Isaac, whom you love so much – and go to the land of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will point out to you." (Genesis 22:1-18)

Exodus 13:2
the Lord said "Consecrate to me every first-born that opens the womb among Israelites, both man and beast, for it belongs to me."

Leviticus 27:28-29
"Note also that any one of his possessions which a man vows as doomed to the Lord, whether it is a human being or an animal, or a hereditary field, shall be neither sold nor ransomed; everything that is thus doomed becomes most sacred to the Lord. All human beings that are doomed lose the right to be redeemed; they must be put to death."

Belief in God is sick, silly and stupid.

No. Jesus sacrificed His life once and for all. There is nothing that needs to be done now. We do call Jesus the lamb of God, because that is what He did for people. He paid the price of sin with His life.

Do you no longer understand the version between the OT and the NT? Christians weren't yet Christians interior the OT. and likewise, you're taking scripture out of context. Did Abraham kill his son? No. It grow to be an illustration of religion in the direction of God, via Abraham. God did no longer enable Abraham strike down his son, in case you will do us the honour of winding up the whole tale. So no, we don't do sacrifices. And neither did the Jews.

Well I went to Catholic Mass for the first time this morning and there DID seem to be a lot of asking god to accept the sacrifice and of the blood and flesh of Christ.

They didn't seem like cannibals, but you can never tell. Didn't taste like blood either. More like sweet white wine.

They must it is a core part of their religion!

Freeky thing is the cultures that did human sacrifice also did canablism. There is the John 6:51 - 57 referance where Jesus said unless you eat his flesh and drink his blood you can not have eternal life! verse 52 proves those hearing this took what he said literaly!

The answer is no.The only reason Jesus was a sacrifice was because he was a perfect human(in place of us).To bear all sin in place of us.The sacrificial thing is over.

Yes, but only as it involves Jesus Christ (who is fully God and fully Man).
