i m doing a project on taoism and one of my question is, is there a central leader of the faith?(like the pope) and i cant seem to find a site that talks about this can anyone help me on this one thx

Not only is there no leader, there is not even an accepted definition of what Taoism is.

People who can be classed as Taoists range from those who belong to a philosophical school based on the texts the Tao Te Ching, to those who belong to one of a number of organized Chinese religious movements, to those who practice Chinese folk religion.

The first link presents a general overview of Taoism. The second presents a Taoist introduction into philosophical Taoism which is probably what your project is looking for.
