First one should know the difference between a religious person and a spiritual person cause they are not the same.

A spiritual person is one who is more in-tune with their inner being or life force. Anyone can achieve this through fasting meditation, prayer/ peaceful thoughts, proper diet and a sound environment. When one begins this journey, the electro-magnetic forces within known as chakras, begin to vibrate at a faster speed and thus igniting "spiritual lights" from within. The transformation is felt only by the individual experiencing this and difference is easily detected. U'll begin to loose any attraction for material things around u and u'll loose the cravings that u'd probably carry with u on a daily basis. Certain latent powers/ gifts may reveal themselves to u, your thoughts become more clear, your eyesight & hearing may increase in sensibility and your body may even heal itself from a long term ailment. Basically your body vibrates at a different frequency.

As the physical body becomes weaker, the spiritual body becomes stronger but the benefits are more rewarding also keep in mind that there are no shortcuts on this road.

We are spiritual only if we so desire. We are highly evolved primates and there are not any spiritual powers just emotional people. Spirit is mood and we all have good moods and bad moods. Some of us can "conjure" up a good mood and that's what spirituality is but also some can "conjure" up a bad mood and that's also spirituality. This ability is intrinsic and not everyone wants to be bothered with it as it's a false utopia. Reality is what we objectively see, hear, feel (physically) and smell. Spirituality is what we assign to what we see, hear, feel and smell. Candles set a mood or tone due to fragrance as well as pictures and so many other things.

A spiritual person is someone who is interested in spiritual things. It isn't the same thing as being religious.

A religious person can be non-spiritual if they just do the prescribed meetings or what-not and don't really practice in their life.

I think many people believe different beliefs about what is considered a "spiritual person" and what isn't. Personally, I think a spiritual person is one who believes deeply in God. Someone who goes to church, prays, and is in love with God. Or whatever god they do believe in. Someone who knows a lot about their religion, and is involved a lot in it could also be considered spiritual. A non-spiritual person is probably someone who does not attend church, pray, read the bible, or is involved in anything religious. A spiritual person probably might be considered bad. And people think a lot of "muderer, etc." as non-spiritual, because they're more than likely bad people who do bad things.

To sum all of this up- a spiritual person would probably be considered one who is involved deeply in their religion, that sort of thing.
Non-spiritual would be considered the opposite. (Not involved in religion, etc.)

hope I helped a little bit. It's pretty hard to explain, especially when you have to type it out, and it's especially hard when there are MANY different religions out there.

also, some people think of spiritual as people who are connected with "ghosts" or "spirits"... and sometimes people who "meditate" and that kind of thing.
it all depends on what you think of it. If you're more along the terms of religion, i pretty much sumed up what i could.

Spiritual can be defined in two ways
1. Religiously Spiritual
2. Earthy Spiritual

Religious spiritual is more Dogma than anything, and most people don't get what they need spiritually from just going to church and singing...

Earthy spiritual is when you use teas, bath salts, etc to calm and balance your body, mind, and spirit.

Being spiritual is a very broad term.

I suggest you pick up some books....
Mind, Body, Spirit is a VERY good investment
Blessed Be! )o(

***YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE INVOLVED IN RELIGION TO BE SPIRITUAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be a spiritual person you need to know how to step away form the world and see everything in a new light. Be the third person point of view, and look deeper into the picture. Meditate upon your actions and improve on your life. So when you do others will follow.
A spiritula person knows his/her purpose in life and is not afraid of falling, because they know they will stand back up again.

A 'spiritual' person is open to the possibility that there is some greater force out there besides ourselves, and that we are capable of communicating with that greater or higher reality.
A non spiritual person has closed his mind to everything that cannot be quantified and identified with precise scientific methods. They limit themselves in this way in order to proclaim themselves as the only god they need.

A spiritual person will be in touch with the essence of life itself.

I am loosely referring to God or who ever people wish to see as the Highest being.

It is not necessarily about knowing the will of God, but an expression of the desire to know God.

A spiritual person believes that there are forces in this world that affect (if not control) our lives. Most people that are religious would say they are spiritual b/c they believe that God is that force, but one does not have to believe in God to be spiritual. They can believe that there are forces outside of God that can affect people. A non-spiritual person does not believe this.
