I was looking for a way to join scientology without joining the church, which I think has at least been corrupted. I believe that dianetics is beneficial. Every scientologist admits that it had helped them. It wasnt untill they were involved for a long time before they started seeing cult like behavior from the people they worked with, which makes me believe that the church's followers are corrupt, not the Idea of dianetics. Free Zone offers free material on auditing and reliable resourses for help. I find it interesting and beneficial, check it out and let me know what you think, or your ideas on independent Scientology. thanks

Im choosing this answer because this was the best ive heard from thetatn. I must have hit a nerve, i felt alittle anger in that even. Well, i happen to know the Church of Scientology actively tries to destroy this group(FreeZoneAmerica) because it provides people with "free" material for auditing and the church doesnt like that im sure. Thanks Zero for you answer, i will look futher into that.

Don't get how you conclude that the Church of Scientology must be corrupt because a group of early Dianeticists decided to leave and create their own group. They may have had disagreements at the time but that happens in many religions.
Dianetics and Scientology are beneficial.
But they only work to the degree that they are applied correctly and exactly.
The Chuch of Scientology must guarantee and maintain a standard of application and workabilty. Like any product. That's it's main purpose. To keep it working.
Without that it can be altered changed diluted or made less workable or even destructive. When that happens it gets a bad rap. Results are what count.
I hope you get the potential benefit available from standard Dianetics and standard Scientology through this group.....
but I honestly would not guarentee it as I know they do not have the technical training and support necessary to produce it.They still have unresolved disagreements with the technology obviously.
Who started this rumor of "cult like behaviour" as the cause or reason for dissaffection with the official Chuch of Scientology ? If it were true then the Church Scientology would not be expanding and helping mankind and growing and increasing its membership and the only option left to those who want to train and study and recieve spiritual assistance from Scientology, would be this "Free Zone"..... (now that would be scary in my humble opinion)
If this is really all about financial exchange (which is what our current society demands, to operate at all) then all I can say is: You get what you pay for and that doesn't always mean money either.

In regards to Dianetics, The American Psychological Association passed a resolution in 1950 calling "attention to the fact that these claims are not supported by empirical evidence of the sort required for the establishment of scientific generalizations."
The MEDLINE database records two independent scientific studies on Dianetics, both conducted in the 1950s under the auspices of New York University. Harvey Jay Fischer tested Dianetics therapy against three claims made by proponents and found it does not effect any significant changes in intellectual functioning, mathematical ability, or the degree of personality conflicts; Jack Fox tested Hubbard's thesis regarding recall of engrams, with the assistance of the Dianetic Research Foundation, and could not substantiate it.
Critics comment that the leading nature of the questions asked of a preclear "encourage fantasy", a common issue also encountered with hypnosis, which can be used to form false memories. The auditor is instructed not to make any assessment of a recalled memory's reality or accuracy, but instead to treat it as if it were objectively real. Professor Richard J. Ofshe, a leading expert on false memories, suggests that the feeling of well-being reported by preclears at the end of an auditing session may be induced by post-hypnotic suggestion.
Stick with REAL professionals and legitimate methods, that's my advice.

I recall a few years ago that a Swami came to the US to "Help" the homeless. IN so doing they shipped homeless people from all over the US to oregon to work on his farms, and vote him into political office, the homeless were helped, and the swami was "helped" to the largest collection of rolls royce cars, a huge mansion etc. Last I heard the homeless are back in the alleyways of US cities, and the Swami is in Federal Prison...

*cries for the future of mankind*
Scientology is a business; it's a religion created by a sci-fi writer to make money. There is nothing beneficial about it, except for the placebo effect, which you can get doing *anything*.
You know about the aliens, right?

I believe in science and understand that it is a logical understanding of how the universe works, what I don't
understand is how anyone thinks it describes my spirit.
