i was brought up with all this no sex before marriage business....a strict christian upbringing!....but i brought shame to the family because i had my daughter before i got married!. I'm a Wiccan now, and def not prudish,just sensible(nope, i dont do naked rituals when with others, lol) Anyway, my point is......sex, or making love is human nature. Did God not give us human nature?, if so, were Adam & Eve married?.Animals do it, they are not classed as immoral. Even though we are not animals, we have the same instincts. It is not wrong to show love through the use of our bodies etc before marriage, but in saying that, many religions are different and i believe that many of the restrictions (thats why so many rebel) are man made words. Did Jesus have sex before marriage?.......there's something we will never know!. If we are made to clothe ourselves constantly, and told never to show or do anything before marriage, it is a natural reaction for people to want to, as it has not been seen or done before by them, whereas, if it is not taboo, then the "wanting" mode isn't half as bad, as it is something they know not to fear or think bad of. Not to encourage teenagers up the wrong path though, but i choose to make them less enthusiastic about sex by being open and honest, and supporting them. You tell someone they can't do something........and what do they want to do?.it's a natural human nature. I have a 23 yr old daughter, whome has just had her first baby. She was never shy or felt awkward about telling me anything, and has been very sensible. We've always had a relaxed attitude towards this, then if something is going to happen, you can make sure your kids are using protection etc. It's not a sin, it's nature....there, end of babble!!...lol

I think the lower teen pregnancy rates and lower STD rates in much of Europe have a lot to do with correct sex education. In many European countries, sex education is aggressively supported by the government. It's not just a required subject in schools, but the government through its health departments, also runs advertisement campaigns.

You've made alot of comparisons, but you've conveniently forgotten some important facts. Who do you think is responsible for all the chaos in all these 'not so peaceful' countries. Britain and America, ofcourse if theres a war going on in your back yard then i guess peace is going to be out of the agenda which explains whats happening in Iraq, afghanistan and many other war stricken countries. And please dont deny Britain and america are no responsible because they are.
As for the accusation of STDs and teen pregnancies, incase you have forgotten America, Britain and many other 'peacful' european countries have got issues with this. But then agian i guess your implying that there are many religious African countries with the issue of HIV and teen pregnancies.
this is because they hav n't been educated about contraception and they dont have the money to buy it either and lastly i dont think they have the NHS down there so they can't get down to their GP's for their Gonorrhea treatment either.
