What exactly do athiests believe? Do you think there is more to life than meets the eye? What are some of your main reasons to not believe in God? What is it that makes you happy and sustains the happiness. Has anything ever happened to you that could keep you happy for the rest of your life? Do you have something (or someone) that is so important to you that you would die for? What is your reason to continue living? (That is if you believe that when we die we will be no more) Isn't this life too painful to be worth it?
I don't understand because I realize that my life would be unbearable without Jesus.

Or that we're incapable of faith? I hear it all the time, and it really gets under my skin. I'm a very emotional person, and I've always worn my heart on my sleeve. I've always had faith as well--just in the people around me, rather than a God. I've always believed that people have the will to be good or bad and that the choices they make determines their character.

And my feelings are exactly the reason I stopped believing in God in the first place. It's not necessarily because I decided "hey, it's not scientifically rational!", but because I have never felt anything to ever make me feel like there might be some magical being out there. I've never felt like I had an angel watching over me, or God's loving hand guiding me or whatever. I haven't had dreams, my prayers all came to naught, and I eventually decided that people and their choices determine what cards are handed to them in life.

Essentially, I'm still a person. Being an atheist doesn't make me a robot.

ok, why is it that you guys (some at least) tell us to stop all this whitnessing but you guys are so passionate with with telling christians that god dosen't exist. if you ask me, YOU guys are the hypocrits as you've called some of us

I mean, people are like, there is a god, and others are like, no there isnt and then we are arguing for some reason. Athiests are just as bad at trying to presuade christians of their beliefs as christians are. So i ask, why do we care about other peoples beliefs unless they effect us. Shouldnt we just live our lives with our beliefs and stop trying to convert everyone to be like us.

Sprit is love.
Spirit is compassion.
Spirit is peace.
Spirit is conscious.

Ok I watched this video, i admit I do not belive in God and dislike relgion because of how people don't think and just blindly do things and I dispise how they take small parts of information and change it's meaning. However, atheists do the same things. This is what I am trying not to do, so can someone who understands the bible explain to me why this video is mistaken, if it is (not including step 4 about blood of christ which even I can see is a grosse misinterpritation).

I heard that Muhammad (pbuh) had punctured someones eyeballs and cut off the hands after he brutally killed a camel or something I'm not too sure of this because people in Afghanistan did it and I watched a video of it and i thought it was extremely cruel but by saying this I would also be disagreeing with the ways of Muhammad (pbuh). Even I as a youth stole once. Is this true? If so is it right?

I do believe in God but this is always something that is hindering me from defining myself as a truly religious person. I'm taking the kids from third world countries as an example (please don't get offended by this). From the moment they are born into this world, they lack the basic human necessities (food, shelter, etc.,). As they grow, they try as best as they could to survive but most of them face even more suffering, or die at a young age without enjoying much of their lives. Why is it that no matter how innocent they are and how hard they work to take care of themselves and their families that God doesn't seem to end their suffering?
