I do believe in God but this is always something that is hindering me from defining myself as a truly religious person. I'm taking the kids from third world countries as an example (please don't get offended by this). From the moment they are born into this world, they lack the basic human necessities (food, shelter, etc.,). As they grow, they try as best as they could to survive but most of them face even more suffering, or die at a young age without enjoying much of their lives. Why is it that no matter how innocent they are and how hard they work to take care of themselves and their families that God doesn't seem to end their suffering?

1) can't we all just stop blaming God for all the suffering in the world? A painless life is guaranteed to nobody. Not even the most righteous person.

2) okay, you have to understand that a spirit, even The Spirit, cannot interact with human lives without proper channels. A spirit has to have a physical body to work through. God cannot directly work in the lives of people unless they a) have the Holy Spirit inside them b) live righteously, as not to hinder God's work c) have faith.

3) God doesn't manipulate people. So when a couple has a child, God doesn't force them to have it here, have it there, or at what time. Your physical body (unless intervened with miraculously, adhering to the above standards) is determined only by physical means. So if a person has a child while in poverty, the child is born in poverty. God creates your soul (your being) and provides a spirit for you. Your soul is made to match your body.

and we as humans could help end suffering if we were committed enough to. But it'd take a lot of faith to do it.

Because theres a devil too and the earth isnt sin free, Itshow those people are born into a different world than we are, gods not going to fix the problems on earth untill he destroys earth and makes a new one that is sin free, Its sucks that those innocent people have to live like that but Other people are greedy and take things for granted, thats why we live a better life, Everyone has to take care of themselves these days, and they just dont live in a place wher ethey can do that very well

This is because you've spent too much time listening to crazy people who think god is constantly medling in the lives of men and the world of men. Many great thinkers believed that god simply got this universe rolling and then either left to do something else or is observing. I don't know if there is a god, but I'm sure if there is a creator he isn't a participating party.

We choose our charts before we are ever born. If our spirit chooses to come to earth in poverty, it is because they have chosen that life path. It may be that their lesson is humility, or endurance, or some other lesson. We come to the earthly plain to learn lessons, before we go back home to heaven. Sometimes we endure great suffering so that a fellow spirit can grow and mature. You should read some books on the levels of creation. It's quite interesting. God doesn't choose this life for us, we choose it for ourselves. Hence, free will.

Yes, God is very concerned about the poor people of this world. Despite the behavior to the contrary (including TV Evangelists!), Christianity is a religion of the poor.

Had you noticed that no democratic country had a famine in the whole of the 21st Century? This tells you one thing: Whatever the causes of poverty and famine are, they aren't too difficult to fix.

I think one example of God caring for them is yourself. He put you in a position where you were able to ask this question.

They are all heathens of course God isn't going to help them. If they are to be helped it is up to us. Have you adopted a child from a third world country. Only a few dollars a month. No? To rely on God's plan is bull excrement. To lay blame on the devil is to say Satan is defeating your God. Get off your butt and do something.

The world is full of suffering and horrible rotten things. Why you ask, because our sins separate us from Gods perfect being and nature.

We will always have this broken and horrible world full of sin, THATS why we NEED God.
We are all going to die one day and be on the same playing level, and the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord
We need him to survive!! He is the way the truth and the life.
You should talk to him about all that, He is really good at giving peace.

Read the book
Nectar In A Sieve.

The fact is pain for us all is inevitable, but suffering is optional.

The Lord teaches us lessons with each reincarnation. Look at your own lessons, be the best you can while helping others along the way. Focus on you, but help others who you have empathy for.

That is your path.

To answer the first question, I don't know. But I'm sure it is God's plan.
The part "God helps those who help themselves" isn't scriptural. We need to step out in faith, but God gets the glory, not us. We need to rely on Gods plan.
