It seems like Bible thumpers are rather hypocritical if they take some parts of the Bible literally, but not other parts. How can you say that homosexuality is a sin and that gays will burn in hell when you aren't sacrificing a bull on the altar every week, or following other Biblical "commands." Seems like a lot of alleged Christians are just homophobes using the good book to justify their own sinful and hateful natures. Did the Bible say somewhere that it's a good idea to oppress others in order to feel good about yourself?

Charles Russel, the founding father of your religion, prophesied that Christ would return in 1874 and when He didn't appear changed it to 1914. Does this make him a false prophet and if not, why not?

All religious people know that the earth is only 6,000 years old according to the Bible. How can that be, must be that pesky organization that has been falsely planting ancient fossils around the globe. It must be that God just showing his sense of humor, planting fake fossils when he created everything 6,000 years ago. That silly God, always joking around, just like when he created religion and actually got people to believe in it, we all know that is good for many laughs.

*Hope that explination makes sense.... I know what I am trrying to ask but not sure if I am saying it in the right way.
