If you are an atheist, who are you angry at? Is it organized religion or a religious community or God? Also, have you tried going to different churches if you are not happy with the one you grew up with? You can also go to Buddhist temples, Unorthodox Jewish Temples, and any type of Catholic or Protestant Church, etc. Have you ever explored any other community in order to find God? (I know some Christians won't like this, but I am just curious if they know they can try to find connections with the spiritual in other ways. I wouldn't have known it myself, but found out through a different source.) Thanks.

Also do you find it hard? Did you inherit your views? Or did an event occur that made you to not believe in God? Do you find that you're more sensitive to the trials and tribulations of this world? Do you feel your atheism isolates you? Do you find your views lead to depression and anger? Do you wish you felt some kind of relief? Do you wish you could have a relationship with God? Be honest. I personally believe most atheists have their hearts in the right places somewhere deep down.

How many of you will pray that Bush does not bomb Iran and instead develops a peaceful plan?

Oh no, you say not your savior and king, he would never discriminate, he loved all men and still loves all men. OK first off that's a SEXIST remark, as is AMEN! Next, why did he come as a certain form of race, he came as one form of the many that we know exist, so why that form? Why not Asiatic or Indian-He also biased people of color so WHY? What good does it do a man to gain the whole world but to lose his own SOUL-Brother? It is time to demand that God answer the problems of his creation or for WE The People of this world to look to ourselves to continue in a way that does not rely upon THE UNKNOWN! Do not tell me that you know God because the first thing I will do is to call you a liar! You only know what has been handed down to you through books and men. Let me ask you the most perplexing question of all; Why would God condem me to Hell ? IN THE BIBLE "All Have Sinned and Come Short of The Glory of God" , therefore THE WRITERS of The Bible were sinners, I don't trust them!

When people who understand evolution are faced with this horrific ignorance they patiently explain we didn't evolve from monkeys (and what can they mean by that except some rapid creation - absurd to them - apart from when god does it with a hand of mud.) but that we had A COMMON ANCESTOR WITH THEM. Do you see the difference?

Now what you're saying reduces to - if I and my 2nd cousin had a great grandfather - why are there still 2nd cousins.

Umm... because the universe isn't about YOU? That's a question for creationists - why are there monkeys - its YOU who can't explain it because you're labouring under the false apprehension that you're special.

Anyway, do you get it now? Can we have no more of these monkey remarks?

Has anyone ever thought that the beleif that "God is in control of everything, and has a plan for us all" has been used as an excuse for people not to try to change the world? The beleif that everything happens as a part of God's great plan leaves you with the beleif that we are not in control, and whatever happens does so as a part of God's purpose for that individual. I know that in my past experience of being a very hardcore Christian, I would look at global warming as just part of God's plan, and wouldn't worry about it because one day Jesus will come back and make the Earth new anyway, therefore it was not a matter that concerned me. The same as for the people suffering in the world, the children dying from abuse, the people being raped, the homeless, I saw it as part of God's plan for those people, & knew that he needed them to go through these things for some higher purpose. Does anyone feel that the main concern of Christians is merely to bring in more Christians?

When it was described to me I said "it is just a theory not a religon" so what do they practice/perform to make it a religon? Do you think Tom Cruise is befriending David Beckham because he has a lot of money and is famous for being stupid and gulible and would be useful to the cult?

I answered a question, and this got me thinking

Here was the question
"Was Jesus transgendered? Did he see himself as male and/or female?"

and I answered

"I don't know this, because god is just a myth. So for all I know Jesus could be a myth as well.

Heck! The bible could just be some fictional book a guy wrote for gosh sakes"

And all that just came to the top of my head. & it got me thinking...IT's just an ancient fictional book

My question is how could anyone argue that evolution doesn't exist? If you dont think evolution exists, then you obviously dont understand what it is or how it works.

It not a theory as to how life started. It is the process caused by natural selection that makes it so a monkey can and will lead to a human. Natural selection is when the strongest out of a species survive, and live to reproduce stronger offspring. Evolution is just what happens as a result of natural selection.

So, how could anyone argue that evolution doesn't exist? Keep an eye out for added details...

Evolution is not science. I'll give you an exact quote from a dictionary, what the word SCIENCE means. Science: 1. Originally, knowledge 2. Systematized knowledge derived from observation, study, and experimentation. 3. A branch of knowledge, especially one concerned with establishing and systematizing facts, principles, and methods.
If you say evolution is science your going against the meaning. Evolution is not fact, it's theory. The definition says that science is observation and facts. Is evolution observation and fact?! I don't think so!

What do you think of Islam?
Islam is a religion about peace and tranquility. However, the incidents that took place on 9/11 and the war in Iraq have aroused many different and negative views about Islam. What are your views and what do you, as an individual, think of Islam?
