Do not be misled: God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a man is sowing, this he will also reap; 8 because he who is sowing with a view to his flesh will reap corruption from his flesh, but he who is sowing with a view to the spirit will reap everlasting life from the spirit. 9 So let us not give up in doing what is fine, for in due season we shall reap if we do not tire out. 10 Really, then, as long as we have time favorable for it, let us work what is good toward all, but especially toward those related to [us] in the faith.
-Galatians 6:7-10

This Scripture speaks of Flesh and Spirit and reaping as mentioned. However, this is really a universal principle.

If someone is always angry and belligerent....like someone I work with they will be unhappy and make everyone around them the same. They could, because of their angry nature, actually suffer from heart disease or suffer a stroke. Their general attitude harms their health!

If someone is promiscuous in our out of a marriage bond and has "casual sex" whenever they want or feel like it there is a great possibility that they could suffer from Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Even if they "protect" themselves they run the risk of emotional turmoil and the possibility of making "sex" their god.
Also, they would be 'defiling the marriage bed'.

"Let marriage be honorable among all, and the marriage bed be without defilement, for God will judge fornicators and adulterers."
-Hebrews 13:4

(Proverbs 6:32) Anyone committing adultery with a woman is in want of heart; he that does it is bringing his own soul to ruin.

(1 Corinthians 6:18) Flee from fornication. Every other sin that a man may commit is outside his body, but he that practices fornication is sinning against his own body.

People that may be tempted to cheat on their taxes, because of the ODDS of getting caught are actually sinning against God arrangement as well.

Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God. 2 Therefore he who opposes the authority has taken a stand against the arrangement of God; those who have taken a stand against it will receive judgment to themselves. 3 For those ruling are an object of fear, not to the good deed, but to the bad. Do you, then, want to have no fear of the authority? Keep doing good, and you will have praise from it; 4 for it is God’s minister to you for your good. But if you are doing what is bad, be in fear: for it is not without purpose that it bears the sword; for it is God’s minister, an avenger to express wrath upon the one practicing what is bad.
-Romans 13:1-4

By hand, a sickle, a combine harvester. It depends on how big your farm is and how much money you have.

More to the biblical point, the hatred sown by America was reaped on 9/11 and the hatred sown on 9/11 was reaped in Operation Iraqi Freedom whose hatred sown was reaped in various and sundry IEDs. And, just like a farm, you can keep it going forever. Hell, the Israelis and Palestinians have been reaping and sowing since at least Jericho.

The Bible says we will be judged by the same measure that we judge others. This sort of crosses over into the reap what you sow. If you judge another for their sins (not judge the sin, which we should do, but judge the person) then God will look upon us and judge us by the same measure.

Another example, if we sow mercy, we will reap it. AS the beatitudes say, "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy."

Another: If you do not forgive, you will not be forgiven.

Jesus taught us these principles through many of his sermons and parables. "Love thy neighbor as thyself"

What we dish out, we will get back.

it isn't all about "good vesus evil" for example; a guy works hard at work and he gets a raise, another person comes in tardy a lot doesn't do a very good job. he doesn't get a raise. they both get what they deserve and worked for. Neither man is inherently beter than the other. the hard worker could be an athiest and the poor worker could be a devout christian. It could also be the other way around, or they could both be rastafarians. either way the saying holds true.

(In Y/A If someone asks stupid questions (happens here all the time) they should expect back stupid answers)

I think Paul was saying more like:
You encourage people and you will get back friends.
You give to the needy, your needs will be provided for.
You smile and people will smile back (you growl and they won't usually smile or say something nice.)

If you greet peope, they will greet you too (I've had this happen with people that NEVER said good morning, but I said good morning to them everyday and eventually they said it back.)
